As you know, in SR3 and 4, the 3rd Street Saints are at the top - Pierce is mayor of Steelport, and The Protagonist is the President. So, where do you go to after that (Apart from Hell)? Here are my ideas of what would happen if SR5 ever happened.

My brief idea for a plot: Johnny Tag returns. The Saints return to Stilwater, but connection with Steelport still exists, and you can fly with a from Wardill Airport there. Now, to the story: The Saints make Gat mayor of Steelport, but an outrage at his return starts, causing a battle near Purgatory. Then, a terrorist group wanting to destroy the Saints becasuse they have changed everything about America (They painted the White Crib purple) bombs all the Saints cribs in Stillwater, but the presidential gang destroys them. They are on high alert, but still launch Saints Airways and Saints Metro.

I will be working on the plot soon.

I don't think we really need another Saints Row, outside of remastered versions of the first 2 games...

The planet was literally destroyed by the end of SR4, which leaves either time travel or Space Row, neither of which sound hugely appealing if I'm going to be brutally honest. Not every series needs to go on forever - if Volition DOES make another sandbox, I'd prefer if it was an entirely new series in a completely different setting.

Also...

Johnny Tag returns.

Is there a new Saints Row coming out or is this all just your ideas?

That said, if they do make a new Saints Row, I think they just should start over with new mechanics and a new story. They can keep the craziness (it keeps it separate from GTA), but I'm sort of tired of the story it's on.

There is no way to continue the story unless there is a hole in the plot from SR IV (they can recreate the Earth). Unless that hole is patched the game will need a retcon.

I believe Volition has announced a... well, an announcement, that involves Kinzie Kensington's VA. It hasn't been confirmed that it's SR-related, but still.

Come to think of it, if it's Kinzie's VA, that sorta rules out the possibility of SR1/SR2 remakes being announced. :(

I just feel like the ONLY thing they care about is how off the wall to make the game. Make it fun, yes and even a little crazy is fine, but they let it get in the way of everything else. Like I said they need to either remake SR1 or SR2 or just completely reboot the series.

Johnny Tag was another character from a DLC, he was a brute clone of Gat.

Anyway, here's the next part of the story:

After the launch of these companies, they are confronted with a new gang: The Vegas. For starters, they destroy their headquarters, then all their shops and businesses. The boss, Louise Vegas confront the Saints with something even the Saints didn't have: a nuclear bomb. Gat, Tag, Pierce and Shaundi help the protagonist cancel the launch of it. After that, the Saints are yet again classed as heroes. The British Queen gives knight-ship to The Protagonist, Tag, Gat, Shaundi and Pierce for saving the world.

I hope you like that section of the storyline.

More sections coming soon.

My mistake.

After this, Zinyak, explains that they were walking 100 years after they invaded. What happened 100 years before were the events of SR4 (World is destroyed), but instead those were all part of an investigation into the human race to see if they were worth recruiting. In other words, the World being destroyed was part of the Simulation. Instead, the Saints were all in a coma, and since America had no government, civilization couldn't evolve, and the Zin had launched a gas which made everyone immortal and cannot age, hence how the Queen of the UK is still alive.

Please no. First of all, the 'it was a coma/simulation all along' cliche is almost unforgivable - games like Saints Row 4 and Driver: San Francisco pull it off by making it very clear that you're in a simulation or coma very early on from the start, not by just retconning the entire canon in a twist ending (or a sequel, in this case).

Also, there are SO many holes in this entire story. How is New Hades, a place that is literally in hell, accessible via airport? What is Zinyak 'recruiting' the human race for? Why are they on Earth if they've been recruited into the ranks of a huge spacefaring alien race? Why do the Saints suddenly support Zinyak despite what he did in SR4? How is the US not in anarchy, or how have they not developed a new government yet over the past 100 years? Why would civilization come to a standstill just because the government for ONE country has gone missing (regardless of how much of a superpower said country is)? How did the events of SR4 even last for 100 years?

IMO Saints Row went to crap at 3. Ever since then they've just made it crazier and crazier and it didn't make the game any better. IMO the best one is 2. Has it's crazy (and hilarious) moments but it's a hell of a lot more realistic than everything that followed it. Plus they made cars (and pretty much all transport) completely useless in 4 with the superpowers. All I want is an HD remake of 2 on PS4 with working co-op.

The whole idea that any fan of a game/comic/TV series should have any serious input into how that progresses, is unfortunately how people become disgruntled when it doesn't happen that way.

Personally, I think it's why Half-life 3 has been delayed so long - they just don't want to face the possible backlash from all those people who have ideas of their own about where the story should go.

My mistake.

But here's the thing: was San Francisco a good game? Did it really matter that Tanner was in a coma and could switch vehicles? Did those things ruin the game? No. Minecraft has no story, and nor has Terraria. So they aren't good games?

Anyway Snorevette, here's your answer to New Hades coming back from hell, being a proper city: we don't want a brand new city. Volition doesn't want to make it. And also, if it's a good city, why leave it in hell?

Why do the Saints suddenly support Zinyak despite what he did in SR4?

Hail Copy/Paste! Assuming all of the Saints' Loyalty missions have been completed, it is revealed by Zinjai, Zinyak's second-in command, that Zinyak told Keith a half-truth; the Zin do not possess the means to restore Earth but they do have time travel technology that could enable the Saints to revisit Earth before its destruction. Zinjai then shows The Protagonist the many humans in stasis Zinyak had collected from across history, including his favorite author, Jane Austen. (From Saints Row Wiki) (That's also how SR4 lasted 100 years.)

But here's the thing: was San Francisco a good game? Did it really matter that Tanner was in a coma and could switch vehicles? Did those things ruin the game? No.

I already explained why San Francisco was a good game despite the coma mechanic - they didn't just retcon the entire game/series by throwing 'IT WAS A COMA ALL ALONG' in at the end of the game, they actually made it very clear that 'hey, Tanner is in a coma now, and now you have these powers'. What they DIDN'T do is make a sequel and say 'btw all the events of the previous game never actually happened'.

Minecraft has no story, and nor has Terraria. So they aren't good games?

Just because there are games (and games that are in different genres no less) that don't need stories, it doesn't mean that NO games need stories. Also, the issue here isn't that it doesn't have a story, but that the story it's been given just doesn't make any sense and is riddled with cliches.

Anyway Snorevette, here's your answer to New Hades coming back from hell, being a proper city: we don't want a brand new city. Volition doesn't want to make it. And also, if it's a good city, why leave it in hell?

First of all, that's not an explanation. You're basically saying 'New Hades is out of hell because I said so' without explaining how an entire city has physically moved out of hell itself.

Second of all, a correction: you don't want a brand new city. I, personally, think one of SR4's major downfalls was just copying & pasting the previous city and leaving it at that - the only reason they pulled it off is because the superpowers added a little more variety to exploration. Superpowers which, as I've previously mentioned, aren't actually apparently showing up in this hypothetical iteration. Speaking of which - I'm pretty sure New Hades was designed around the new GOOH powers, so navigating it without them would be dull at best and a nightmare at worst.

(From Saints Row Wiki) (That's also how SR4 lasted 100 years.)

Again, not an explanation. There's absolutely no reason why, after Zinyak kidnapped them and messed with their heads for so long, the Saints would suddenly turn around and say 'hey, Zinyak is cool now'. Zinyak hates the Saints, and the Saints hate Zinyak.

Plus they made cars (and pretty much all transport) completely useless in 4 with the superpowers.

Whilst I haven't actually played number 2 (I started off with 3, I might have to look into getting SR2 next sale), this was my biggest problem with SR4. From my personal experience in 3 (and judging from a couple of random playthroughs I've seen elsewhere) you could get up to all kinds of **** and giggles just driving to the where the missions are, and end up getting side-tracked again and again, as well as actually acquiring and customising various vehicles (because there was a reason to do so).

That, and the fact that in my opinion SR3 was crazy enough, SR4 was just too OTT for my liking. One would think that it may well be a case of making the next game even more silly then the last, and if it is, I'll probably pass on it.

3 had some use for driving. Once you upgraded to full stamina on super speed in 4 driving lost it's use. They could retcon it and do what they did with the end of 3. (Technically Gat Out of Hell allowed them to revive Gat.) Still, makes little sense.

I have thought long and hard about this and I'm going to create my fan-made plot again.

Here we go.

You will start at the end of SR4 and you time travel back to just before the Zin invasion with Zinjaj. Because you have Gat with you, he (With the help of The Protagonist) attack and nearly kill Zinyak. However, Zinyak surrendors (Because of Gat) and you pretty much rule the Zin. Zinjaj, Zinyak, SWAT Backup, Police Backup, Deckers Back and Zin Backup are unlocked.

2 months pass and nothing really happens. An introduction to the game is played.

A terrorist organisation known as 'The Elite' quickly becomes headline makers after bombing major cities such as London, Tokyo, Berlin and New York. There biggest thing, though, was yet to come (It would happen later in the game). The White Crib was shown also in the news when it was burnt down, apparently caused by a cigarette that had not been put out.

The Saints, despite being very broken, move on and decide to build a new White Crib in the game's city: Westbridge. A beautiful metropolis with neon lights aplenty to the north and and large countryside and mountainous area to the south.

Also, a new Saints Tower is built in the city as a base for the Saints' businesses, including Purgatory, Planet Saints and Saints Flow.

Several missions pass and over them you unlock Pierce, Shaundi, Viola, Burt Reynolds, the Saints Tower, the White Crib and Keith David.

The next bit you might want to read. In SR4, it was confirmed that Killbane was dead. However because Saints Row 4 hadn't technically happened, he isn't. Therefore there is a visitor to the Saints Tower: Killbane, who simply joins the Saints.

I'll be continuing soon.
