What if someone simply won't shoo?

There's one member in particular who's been getting on my nerves a lot lately for absolutely pointless posts.

Now, I very well know that you'd much rather that I use the "Report to Moderators" link than make a thread about it (duh!), which I've been doing... I've sent in more reports about this member then I can remember, yet I haven't noticed his behavior getting any better... in fact, I can honestly say that it's been getting worse!

So, really, what can I do? I've used the supplied "Report to Moderators" link, which hasn't had any impact at all, it seems... :(
 
I think I might know who you are talking about youth_cycler. I don't use the "Report to Moderators" link though. I just try and ignore that member but it doesn't work. I don't have the patience. :(

Guess I will have to resort to that... it's just that ignoring a problem doesn't effectively solve it. ;)

Anyway, the real point of this thread was to point out that some authoritive rights need to be exercised more often-- I don't mind a few pointless posts, but when someone posts nonsense after nonsense after nonsense, something needs to be done...
 
I wonder where the Report to Moderator reports go - admittedly I'm listed as the mod for the sleepy automotive forums, but I've never had one come to me.

Anyone having problems is more than welcome to PM me.
 
There are quite a few mods that have seemed to have disappeared. Like Nocturnal, I've been clicking that Link in the GT3 forum but hes not there to do his job no more. Maybe a new mod replacing him?
 
This person wouldn't happen to be me would it?
 
As an administrator, I thought I received reported threads, but apparently I must have broke something because I haven't received anything lately. I have an idea on what it could be, so keep reporting and hopefully I will get the notifications this time... :mad:

I'll have to ditto that... Noc was doint great for a while, but he has slowly faded away from the GT forums...

I was speaking to Nocturnal just the other day. I didn't even think to ask what happened with him at GTP? Maybe I will remember next time he comes on.

i think this kind of information should not be revealed. the concerned member probably already knows who he/she is.

Exactly. I meant for this thread to just bring to Jordan's attention that the "Report to Moderators" link wasn't working effectively, not to be a magnet for a plethora of self-questioning and what not.

So please stop asking... like I (and now PR) have said, this person probably knows who he is. Thank you.
