30th June 2013, 9-time WRC Champion Sebastian Leob conquers the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and finished with a NEW RECORD of 8m 13.878s in the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak. This officially smashes the then current record set by Rhys Millen in 2012 of 9m 46.164s. Our heart-warming congrats to the WRC Frenchman for his amazing achievement!
Now for the question: if the X2010 takes on the Pikes Peak, how much time will it take to reach the summit? Hopefully someone here in this forum has a better mathematical brain than mine bcos I suck at calculations.
-X2010 vs. a Mountain?-
Yes it's just possible...or maybe it's already possible. Pikes Peak has underwent a total change of it's course; the rest of the route is now FULL TARMAC; meaning that even a Le Mans car can even qualify in the Unlimited Category (some regulations may need to be met though). Now it's anybody's game regardless of class and discipline!
-X2010 fastest speed converted for mountain-
As a base, we'll use this X2010 run by YouTube user Alicorn Fury, who set a time of 4m 29.362s on Nurburgring Nordschleife. There are faster 3-minute times out there I know but this one seems realistic and stable to meet for me (something I might try to beat my current 5-minute times with the same car). Need someone who can break the timing down and then convert it to a possible Pikes Peak timing. Following the direction, it has to be a hill-climb timing.
-Pikes Peak for GT6?-
Hopefully (if we can band to PD for a request!); after all it was last seen in GT2 on the PSone but it's totally gravel and the course is pretty short from the original (managed a 2-minute time in a Corolla Rally Car). If PD can squeeze in a 25km+ Nurburgring then surely there's no reason they can't squeeze in a 19.9km hill climb mountain (altitude 4'301 metres) for time attacks, drifts and Touge battles!
So any help if possible, how much time will be needed to reach the summit of Pikes Peak with an X2010?
