Some days ago y was having an strange idea, WHAT IF the biggest GT Community cooperate to gain some money and for the best users.. Lets say... of course there are many other good drivers out there. who likes to drive the car as real as it can but still lacks a proper setting like... a wheel kit.

Not like a thrustmaster t500, something more reasonable like a g27 or g28.

This way to our best DS3 drivers in this community can become more pro drivers? :dopey:

It is just a crazy idea, but what do you think?:scared:

Sorry if my english is not good enough.

Not sure what you mean.

Are you saying everyone on DS3 should save up for a wheel?

Or are you meaning gaining money for users like taking part in a league, donation fund or competition? Real money or in-game cash?

I will explain, everyone in this community we could make a donation fund. Real money. So we can improve the experience for our best DS3 users.

It could be making some Sunday Cups endorsed by GTP for example. the 1st place could win a wheel set. of course DS3 users only.

Make in overall a better experience using this game. when the skills and victory can give you a real prize (money or a g27 )

No,get a job and buy your own wheel.

Like the rest of us.

Im not saying this because of me, I have job, a nice one. Im saying this for helping other members. To enchance the quality of other GT drivers out there. Like an incentive.

Honestly, if someone wanted a gaming wheel that bad they would go out and get it themselves with their own money.

DFGT = 80$

Not to expenisive. I understand that not everyone can afford wheels.. BUT, if you can buy a PS3 and GT5 (tot: 250$), saving up for a DFGT does'nt look like an impossible task.

Wheels are overrated I bought one, used it a few times and sold it! DS3 is better for me

It feels so wierd when people mention me in threads.

And don't worry, I'm fine without a wheel. I don't play too much so buying one wouldn't be worth the cost.

Plus that means that I would have to buy a seat and all, and honestly it's too much for someone who plays GT5 only an hour or two a day.

If someday I really feel like I need it I'll buy it.... The good intentions are appreciated.

I agree, a wheel doesn't cost that much, if DS3 users wanted it so badly, they would of bought it by now.

I like the idea of it, but a donation fund isn't really practical. A competition would be more suitable for you're idea of winning a wheel, but as said I don't think there is much point.

I remember someone bought about 7 DFGT's because they were on sale, I think half off. Kai, I think was her name, and the winner of a race they set up, who was a long-time DS3 user, got one mailed to them. I can't remember what she did with the rest, but I thought that was pretty awesome.

*GASP* I didn't know that Logitech released the G28 already?! Check the OP and correct.

If you could afforda PS3 and the game, you can afford a dfgt off ebay. Even used G25 or G27 is pretty cheap. Hell, a brand new G27 isn't even expensive.

Seriously. If you want to donate a wheel to someone, feel free to do so on your own. To ask others to donate...well, just go join those Occupy idiots.

Why dont we also have a fund raising event, you know something like Children in Need where we can help the underprivileged.

So, i'm starting this now. I will fully support this charity and selflessness put myself forward as officially treasurer for this matter.

Please send donations to...

xxDingerxx
Bexhill-on-Sea
United Kingdom

(please note all donations are non-refundable and the treasurer will take a percentage in administration fees, enough at least to cover are new proposed headquarters in Tahiti with an on-site swimming pool)

Your suggesting we pool our hard earned money to get wheels for people we don't even know

Id rather give to charity if I have money to spend on things like that.

No offence but I think this isn't the best of ideas. If it was for someone I at least remotely know in real life, then maybe...

Whats wrong with a DS3! Being gaming pro is expensive. Its not like the good ol days.....:indiff:

Do you get Force Feedback with a wheel? Do you get a true driving experience with a wheel? No you don't. You feel like you're driving a R/C car, not a full-sized 1:1 car (or at least that's how I feel when I drive with a DS3, which I hardly do).

I will kindly ask that my name is removed from the OP. I have nothing to do with this. The last thing I want is that people think I'm a beggar or cadger...

The idea of a having a wheel always goes through my mind and I can easily get myself one, but when I think of how very little I'll use it and the space that it will use up, plus the money that could be used for something else, then I simply don't feel like it. If I was in a racing leage or took the competitive aspect of the game for serious, then I would've bought a wheel ages ago...

I posted on the previous page, and that was in line with most replies.

But I do want to say that it was def a good thought, and it came from the heart! 👍

Much respect, and I support such actions. Just that a racing wheel for a video game does'nt make my heart bleed exactly.

To think about other than yourself is noble no matter what tho! 👍

Btw: I think you can close it yourself.

"Thread tools" Top right. 👍

Interested to know what wheel your slower with?
He possibly didn't use a wheel long enough to get really used to it. I'm only guessing, because it took me a while to be better with the DFGT than with a DS3. My first time using a steering wheel was embarrassing.
