In photomode, I'd like the damage reset button have at least two stages. The first step removes all the bent metal but keeps the mud and dirt. The second step removes the dirt. I'd also like the option to remove the driver from the interior for better beauty shots of the car when at rest.

Give us more options on the driver avatar. We're not all white males.

Give us the ability to fine tune manufacturer's colors. Sometimes you think the green of that car would look perfect on another car, but without being able to see what the hue, saturation and brightness are, it's very hard to reproduce. We were able to do this in FH1. Not sure why it was taken away.

If you're going to stick with the road trip model, once the championships are all completed, let us go back and race in individual championships, instead of forcing us to do an entire road trip again.

Any other suggestions?

I might be in the minority, but I'd like regular cars (basically everything except rally cars/SUVs) to have some kind of penalty when going off the road. The way the game is set up now, the fastest racing line on about 95% of the tracks involves taking massive shortcuts through the grass and personally I just don't enjoy that type of racing.

I love that kind of racing and can't get it anywhere else (Motorstorm maybe?).

Couldn't people who like to stay on the road play one of the myriads of other games (including T10's own Forza Motorsport) which already offer this type of racing? If not then I hope the off road penalty would be optional were it to be implemented as it would pretty much kill the cross country events.

@UKMikey -- FUEL is perhaps the ultimate game for that kind of racing, but it still slowed down vehicles that weren't designed to go offroad when they strayed from roads/trails.

How would it kill the cross country events to require some ground clearance and maybe off-road tires? In a series with trucks/SUVs, rally cars, and upgrade parts, it seems pointless to allow low-slung Lamborghinis to traverse knolls and fields about as effectively as anything else. IMO, it's also not much fun to explore or hunt for signs/barns/etc. when there's nothing slowing you down. It's like exploring a big empty parking lot. Just by making it a little harder to get around, I think FUEL made an almost unimaginably larger map feel more engaging all throughout.

I don't mind them slowing us down from time to time but to require rigid adherence to the road in a checkpoint- based offroad event would be absurd. Maybe I misread the previous post as asking for FM2-style time penalties rather than a performance/handling "penalty".

What I would propose is a slight performance penalty, basically lower the traction and speed of road cars when going on the grass/dirt etc.

It shouldn't be very drastic, you'd still be able to take small shortcuts here and there, but you would be penalised and end up losing time for continuously going off the track.

Of course you'd be able to get around the penalty by fitting rally tires/suspension on your car, although ideally those wouldn't be available on cars like Ferraris/McLarens otherwise it would make the nerf redundant.

Customizable controls. Don't sit there and show "default" to me and then tell me that I can't customize that so I can actually change views in Default Layout 11. :grumpy:
What are you talking about?! They obviously knew that anyone that uses that layout doesnt need to change views :P

While they're at it maybe they could bring free look back to the default replay view (not that it was ever in Horizon games).

Would love to see more twisty mountain roads in FH3. I imagined since the setting is in Italy and France, we would have some of the beautiful twisty roads that region is known for.
That was my biggest disappointment about FH2.
Also, I would like to see some more regular and classic cars, not just modern super/hyper cars and modern coupé's and saloons.

This may sound somewhat stupid idea, but some closed tracks added to the game (licenced of fictional) would be nice addition - just for testing and practicing with the cars and maybe they could be also used racing against AI. Yes, I know that Forza 6 will have a whole bunch of those tracks - but the hypercars in FH2 for example are just too tricky for me to handle in those narrow countryside roads (with all that traffic). I agree also that the map also should be bigger.

The map really needs to be a lot bigger, I would say 3 times as big possibly. More roads filling the Map and more accessible map overall would be nice.

Also what @VXR and @LJ12 said
To be honest, I would opt for a far less open map at the same size. Give some restriction, to the fields, and add some more railed roads.

I really think it needs to be bigger. You can get from one side of the map to the other in no time. Something tdu2 ibiza sized would be awesome.

Slightly having to do with my point, I think if you remove some of those vast opens fields of nothingness, I feel the map probably could have been made bigger.

Without having a clue of why they chose the map size they did, its hard to say, though.

I know the fields seem large, but then that is likely realistic for that part of France and Italy?

I think having vast open fields could be really cool if there was a genuine off-road element to the game, like having large mud patches and trails, steep hills and other places where your car could get bogged down or even stuck.

Basically something similar to Spintires but a lot less hardcore.

That would be very cool.

I well remember 4x4 Evo 2 having exploration missions in open maps and I really enjoyed that. Something in Horizon 3 would be neat.

You lowered the value of the entire Forza series with this post.

The simple concept couldn't be more arcade-like, a la NBA Jam circua 1994.
What I said doesn't have anything to do with being simple or arcade. All those other games plus Grid, DriveClub and Project Cars all encourage you to stay on the road. Forza Horizon 2 doesn't and that's what I like about it. There's room for all of them but it's two different styles of game play. I'm not trying to cheapen anybody else's game.
