what is a non tuned car?

was going to do the roadster endurance with my mazda mx5 1.8i and didn't know what non tuned is, so i just entered with nothing on it.... damn that is going to be one hell of a boring race in that car if i can't make it go any faster :/

Non-tuned means a car that has no extra parts. A car that has only the parts that it has when it was first bought new. That means in races where your car has to be non-tuned you can't buy any parts or upgrades at all to your car, otherwise you can't enter. Although, you CAN change oil, wash the car, or buy any tyres. But nothing else.

Yes, I think it is...
If you want an easy win, use super slick tyres. The AI pits often and you'll have to pit only once or twice or not at all.

The Roadster endurance is actually more fun than you might think. I think it was one of the most fun endurances I had.

Non-tuned means tyres, oil and a wash then off you go. And yes, the race will be long, 1hr 15mins approx. Don't worry about the other 1.8i, it will look like it's going faster, but it pits way too often. Use medium racing tyres and you only need to visit the pits about 2 or 3 times. The other 1.8i goes in about 6-8 times (10? I lost count!)

Remember, there's a 1 in 4 chance at the end of getting an F1 car! More likely, you'll end up with a budget MX-5 (J) that's even slower than your 1.8i. That's what happened to me *sigh*

I am not sure what version you have but for North America the best Miata is called the Miata LS which has 165hp, then the Miata 1.8 which has 139hp, then the 2 older Miatas with 118hp and 128hp.

For PAL types, the best MX-5 is the 1.8i, then it's the 1.8 RS then the two plain MX-5s (93 and 89)

Australia is PAL, so you get lumped in with the Euro types. So it's MX-5, not Miata.

For the Roadster Endurance in a :mazda: MX-5 I recommend Slicks :burnout:, you may fall behind in the first few laps but as soon as they pit you should have the advantage for the rest of the race and take the win :chkflag::gcar:

im not sure if youd care, but, if you do do the roadster endurance, a nice effect is that you develop a good racing line and thatll hella help you with the time trial with the castrol toms supra. i beat that TT on the third try by over a second. :-D :-D only thing was, i was on my cpu at the same time so i started playin counterstrike and i just put my ps2 on standby without saving!!! it sucked so much, i lost that record time, now i only won by like half a second, but i know i can do better. I-M me if you play cs!!! fun game next to the gt series.
