What is a rally car?

Just asking this question after being in a room online because my car isn't a proper "rally" car. I'm not trying to be awkward or sarcastic but what do people mean by a rally car? I'm smart enough to know that a stock road car is not a rally car. A GT car is not a rally car. I would've thought a Rally Raid car would be okay or a race modified car. Apparently not. And what about a Group N car? Isn't this a car that is a production model that has been tweaked for rallying? Just because I don't want to drive a Citroen WRC car shouldn't mean there aren't any cars on there that are rallyable even if they're not WR cars.
 
Raid is truck rally, or at least I thought so, so that should be fine. You were probably in a room of morons dude, I've had this. Apparently my RS2000 RALLY CAR isn't a rally car according to rooms I've been in. Just bust out a Group B (RS2000, Delta S4, 205 etc) and they are apparently not rally cars. Grrrrr
 
I think it would depend on the restrictions. They could of had it set to recommended rally cars which would've in that case been the Citroen or Ford. They could've had the year restricted also forcing you to use Classic Rally. I'll have to look into this later since I have all the rally cars, I'll build a list of what's available when the general "rally" restriction is in place and post it on this thread 👍
 
Well I see part of everyone's problem here.. The only restriction for rally is "Modern Rally"

If anyone tells you they are not rally cars then they are ignorant tits.
All cars in jgancherjr's list are 'Rally' cars.
Though there are different classes of rally.
If the lobby leader doesn't state a certain class & kick you then they are a retards.

I did laugh when reading this lol 👍 the problem is though: There is a restriction that can be set to ONLY allow "modern rally cars" and nothing else unfortunately :( .. The cars I listed are the ONLY cars that meet that restriction 👎 .. I have a couple "favorite" rally cars and neither meet this list.
