A replica car is a car made to be like another car. Example: Making a BMW GTS out of a BMW M3 07'

A car which is imitating another; trying to/sometimes does look and perform like the actual car.
Like above stated about the M3 GTS replica: you basically get a BMW M3; paint it in an Orange close to the real car, put a wing on it, similar wheels and then weight reduction and a few sport modifications, to make it perform like the GTS.
