What is better, a Grand Corvette or Corvetter C5R?

Whats up, I just did a lil of backtrack and race the American All Stars in Amateur with a Grand Corvette (pretty nasty for someone who has already finished Beginner and going in for the Amateur ones) and I just ended 1st after beating a Corvette C5R! :D

Hmm, I haven't drove the Grand Sport. I do not even own one on GT3. This is a good question, but it is a matter of opinion and driving skill I think. :banghead:

It should be something because the C5R doesnt slide like the Grand Sport, u know how bad is the handling with American Cars, should I say that I beat it with a stock grand sport? 😈 😈 😈

BTW, did you know the "Corvette" designation is actually the name of a boat used during WWII by the Frenches? makes you wonder why they handle like boats!

Tercel is involved in yet another thread argument. This is all a matter of opinion here. If one person likes the Viper more than a Corvette, so be it. Same goes for vice versa, Corvette over Viper, so be it. How about I just throw in the GT40 for good American tastes??? I put a 500 horsepower up against an evenly powered Corvette or Viper, and what happens....?? I race with a car of my chossing, that's it. So stop arguing about who can beat up who, who is older, and nicknames and such. Geesh!!! :banghead:

Me thinks this is spam becuz if u just see the grand sport and the C5r u will see just by the looks that the C5r is better.
 
a corvette from 1996 vs a vette from 2001, the latter getting higher marks by auto magazines? i'll take a wiiiiiild guess here ...

the reason you beat the c5r with the grand sport is that the a.i. is worthless and weak. the c5r in amateur all stars is beatable with many, many human piloted inferior cars.

All right, I wasn't going to comment, but I think this is getting a bit out of hand.

Tercel. Congrats! I think anytime you're winning races with a car significantly below the class of cars the AI is driving is good. I certainly think it's better than getting one of the fastest cars in the game and just breezing through most of the races (which would get frustrating, I think, when you face the toughest races in the game). I might be less impressed if you tuned the Grand Sport to, say, over 600 some HP, though.

I think some of us who have gotten pretty far in the game forget how challenging the beginning and amateur races were at first. That's one of the cool things about it; you have to keep getting better at handling the cars and finding the best lines to progress through the game. At least that's the case if you play it right, I think.

OK, I'm done. I just don't like to see someone being proud of an accomplishment getting ripped on. I don't see the point.
 
after reading the last post, i read MY last post and i think my point could easily be missed. i was'nt downplaying your achievment, just eluding to how it's hard to guage how good a car is by how the a.i. drives it. the c5r is head and shoulders above the grand sport, the a.i. gives it a bad representation. that's all i was saying not "my grandma can kick the a.i.'s ass"

Actually a downloaded a video testing a Corvette Z06 a Viper and a Ford Mustang Cobra R it showed that the Z06 was better by both the others!

I'll see If I can find the link to it!
 
Well, it depends on who drives the car. But statiscally I think that both the Corvette Z and Viper, along with the Viper Team Oreca and COrvetter C5R are the same.

This is the right idea. I once took a fully modded Mini Cooper to the "Like the Wind" race, and after many laps, I was able to get by the Zonda C12S. This is an example of the poor A.I. in GT3, seeing as how the computer didn't bother to use the full racing transmission to widen the gears on the Zonda to prevent it from topping out at 150mph. But that surely doesn't mean that the Mini is better than the Zonda, or at least not for getting faster lap times.
 
The whole reasing i was putting tercel down was look how dumb he is. Re-read the tittle of this thread. Where does it ask just one time what car is better. He just goes on about how he won a race with aninferior car. That makes no since that is like saying Which is better the mini cooper or the Gt-one and then talking about how you liked the color of your cat before it got shocked in the freak christmas tree accident. I mean who cares about my cat anyways. I dont think it is animal abuse when it did it to itself. I am sure that you guys get my point now about what ever i started talking about. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

We are talking about cars, and the u talk about ur christmas tree and ur cat, (who cares).

The reason I asked, which is better, is because the C5R may be better, but a modded Grand Sport can be as fast as the C5R.

I may recommend u to put ur brain to sleep. :o
