Hello,

Quick indroduction of myself, I am french, 34yo, 27 years of sim racing !
On top of PC, I have PS4 with THRUSTMASTER T300RS + T3PA-PRO and a DIY wooden Playseat ! For the moment I spend time with Project Cars, waiting for Gran Turismo Sport & Project Cars 2.
I also use to do trackdays with Renault Megane 3 RS Trophy in few europeans tracks, I also have Laguna GT as daily car & Honda CBR for fun.

Regarding to Youtube videos of GT academy for example, it seems that best players use to play with frontal view.
I am not from best players but the only view that I can play is 3rd person view (back of cars) because I can see side limits and it's for me the only way to prevent drifting by anticipation...
So how frontal, bumper or cockpit view could be the best ? For what reason ?

What is your opinion ?

Thanks in advance

Hello @Chavigny - I used to use 3rd person. I think it was GT2 when I was trying to get gold in a license test. That test was big for me because it's where I changed to a manual transmission and I believe it's also where I switched to front bumper view. One thing I remember for sure was that my time went down after I got comfortable with it. Maybe it's being close to the road and able to be a little more precise. That's my experience anyway. Also, making good use of the look left/right button is a big help. Practice is the only way to be comfortable with it though.

Project Cars is the first game where I've exclusively used cockpit view. I found other games just left me feeling 'closed in'. It definitely feels more like I'm actually driving a car. While it's not necessary to change from 3rd person view, maybe give it a try for a week and see if you prefer it? And see if your times improve....you never know:D

Hi Benny, thanks for your reply. I have tested other view but I am not able to feels under/oversteers with these views.
Like you, I used to play with automatic gears, I needed time to be confortable with manual in GT5 but now it's OK. Maybe the same with view.
