Whenever I try to save a small movie to my desktop or a folder it will only save the sounds. When I right click and press save to disk the box pops up and it says it will only save in MP3 fomat. I know something is wrong because when I try my desktop, everything works fine. I dont know what to do.

I just concluded 2 thinks

1. Its definately a problem with firefox because I tried IE and it downloaded fine
2. IE sucks major ass compared to firefox

Have you tried manually adding the filetype on to the filename? For example saving it as movie.mpg or whatever type of file it is

And #2 is a good conclusion... it does suck indeed. IE7 will be better, but it's already too late to get me to come back

yea it wont let me. My choices are mp3 audio or all files.

Oh, I meant: choosing "All Files" then manually typing .mpg or .avi or whatever it is. Sorry, I didn't make that clear. I'm not too confident that it will work, but it's worth a shot.

NO that doesnt work either. I deleted and re-installed firefox and that still didnt fix it

If you right click here and select "Save Link As..." (in Firefox), what do you see in the dialog box that appears?

Is it allowing you to save that link as a wmv or still just an mp3?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean in your original post.

hmmm, that one works fine. Maybe it fixed itself?

If that one worked then I'm guessing it was only the particular link that you mentioned earlier. It's most likely an issue with the site rather than firefox.

No because I tried it with IE and it worked. So it was definately firefox.
