the suprise was for people who didnt know much about gt4, for people like GTP members who suck up all the rumors there are no suprises at all.

isn't there a press release from KY about the game after it released or an inetrview ?
 
but.. u know if ferrari and lambo were actually in than GT4 would be hella more popular? even more than it is now? I dont think PD would be able to keep that a secret... it might hurt innitial sales... but they dont really have to worry about innitial sales... But if I remember correctly.. PD confirmed there was no Ferrari or Lambo in GT4. :indiff:
 
But then DFP should have had it ...

And I agree, it would be great if it had clutch pedal support AND Act Labs Shifter. How 'bout that! I own one and can only say, that LFS+DFP@900°+my moded MOMO pedals with clutch+Act Labs Shifter=heaven!

unless a clutch magically sprouts out of the dfp's pedals thats not gonna be a whole lot of use is it?

that´s not the replay camera(like the one from GT4P) but a real driving camera fixed on the roof of the car-NICE!
that could be one surprise though i saw it some time ago but we all didn´t know if its a driving camera or just replay, so it could be one surprise
 
No he said he was including that, IMO it's either an extra cup at the very end of the game we don't know of yetm, like the Pod race in GTC or it's the inclusion of Le Sarth which we know about.

You're right. For people like us who spend hours on GTP, there are no positive surprises but lots of negative ones unfortunately. Once again, GT4 failed to be the finished product it promised to be: No online, no drift (correct me if I'm wrong and I won't cry for it, but they promised it), lots of cars that are finally absent even if they were highly anticipated, N20 available in all races, no real car modifications (wings, wow :indiff: ) and so on.

To me, the surprise is that once again, PD lacked the time to produce a fully finished game fulfilling all their promises. Tough not as bad as GT3 that was clearly half cut, there is still a rush and incomplete feel shadowing the game. I now doubt PD will one day have enough time to produce a game as they wish.

Theres no day/night cycles but yes you can save during the race.
And Lambo GT4 is most complete package in the GT series, it's lacks nothing seen in the GT series before exept the race mod, however it adds plenty.

oh and sprout it will ! watered by my tears of passion for GT... heh. i speculate there was enough time to add a clutch feature after all those delays :crazy: and it would be a surprise because the DFP does not include a clutch pedal :sly: don't ruin my hopes and dreams if i wanna dream there is a magic clutch pedal waiting to hatch from my DPF pro pedals, you damn well better let me ! :) hehe. too much chemistry homework makes ian a silly boy. later-
 
no day/night during a 24 hour race???---that´s really, really BIG CRAP(Confused Recordings Asia Productions)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and why??...is it just too hard for the PS2 to make it?--NO! even Le mans(a game came up in 2001) nhad it and you could run FULL 24 HOURS, too!!!!!...so i think it is in(and it should be or whereelse do i get some nice realism for my eyes???)!!!!!!!!

It's the most complete package in the series, yes but it's still lacking real progress like:

-damage
-Online from the start
-Real parts manufacturers
- Changing weather
-etc

They are stalled to adding more Skylines, Evos, 350Z and a little bit of Euro and American cars here and there to show they exist and a couple good tracks and a bunch of new/refurbished fantasy ones. This is probably due to the weakness of PS2. Come PS3 đź‘Ť

Folks - until someone has done an actual 24 hour endurance race, we won't know if it has day/night changes :eek:

Wouldnt it be cool if the day-night shift depending on the time at your area? :O And if you dont want that, there can always be the option menu or just select the day/night for the track.
 
Darnit, thanks alot, and what about the whole Drag Race thing, is there actually Drag Races? Because in screenshots I have seen 2 cars racing eachother however people have said the the New York Dragstrip is only a variation of the 0-400m, anybody know what the deal is??
 
I've been thinking - there is one other possible suprise - weather effects.

Instead of a whole track being wet - how about only one section is wet. The larger tracks suffer from this in real life - it's raining or damp at one section, and the rest of the track is perfectly dry.

What do folks think? If you make the wet section a part of the track that is "easy" to render, the PS2 might be able to do it - the folks at PD seem to be able to get more out of a PS2 than some other folks.

Just some more fuel for the mind. :)
