This is my first post here on this forum. Anyway I was wondering what is the best 1st car? Thanks!

There are a few, very lengthy threads on best first car. My advice is that it doesnt matter. Buy the cheapest thing that you can find and dont do anything to it , leave it in your garage. Then go an do a pile of Licence tests and Specials and you'll soon collect cars and money that will make your A-Spec life easier rather than messing around with a second hand MR2 or whatever.

It's gotta be the Honda Civic from the dealership, such a great car, handles well and is very fast for a level 0 car.

Mine was the '97 Civic, it's a great car.

When you've got more cash it's also race-moddable.

I believe a cart is sufficient, only 5000 Cr, then indeed the license tests and special events.
However you will win a cart in those, so a cheap cute car from the Used Car Dealership might be the best choice.

Cars you do need soon in A or B -spec:
FF Cup: something like the Ford RS blows it away
Light Weight Cup: Cappucino or Copen stay popular
Japanese Classics: Mazda 110, although you win it later, it helped me in several races

Depends on what's in the UCD when you start the game. For me, the best car at that time was a Celica Something Something.

I took an AE86 Levin and was very happy with it, funny little car. 2nd time when I started a new game with a friend of mine we took a S13, not a bad choice neither, loved it.

Definitely the Toyota celica of the ucd about 190bhp and handles ok no need to spend money tuning it for quite a while will beat most thongs you come across in the early stages!

Not saying it's 'the best' but you won't be disappointed

ive always used either a miata or an integra. this game i have 3 game saves.... i bought a kart, a civic, and a miata. id recommend away from the kart though.

I've always used a Mazda Miata for my first car in each game.

This, i took the Eunos or whatever they call it, the premium one. Great car, 50/50 weight distribution, light. You should be able to beat the FR race with 160 horsepower with it. Anything more and it's not a challenge though.

If you're going FWD though, i'd go for a golf.

I did the xB because I used to own one. Not the most effective choice, but it got the job done. If I were starting over I would try to get by with the cappuccino, since it is one of the most fun in the game once you can afford to race mod it.

Would be a challenge for some of the early races other than the lightweight cup, but I enjoy a challenge.

Having played both ways, don't over mod your cars, running every race by over a lap isn't that fun. A close competition is far more exciting. 10% less hp, than competition is a good starting point, since the AI drives so conservatively.

I think the Cappucino is the best to start with, since you can RM it later when you earn enough credits.
