What is the best sounding car in GT3??

The Vauxhall Calibra Touring Car sounds sweet at high revs, and unbelievably like the real thing. I miss the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car from GT2, that thing was awesome, and unmistakeable with it's 4 can 18,000rpm drone. I think the Japanese cars all sound too hugh pitched to have a 'nice' sound to them, all absolute screamers. Give me a nice British growl or an American roar any day!
 
The sound of the RUF's, the Audi S4 has a nice sound too (more because it's my favorite car than because it's such a cool roar ;)) the Fiat Coupé the GT40

but most of all, the AMG CLK55 tune it, and enjoy the sound!
although it sounds best in 5000rpm or so... (can't fit an exact figure)

Oh I know...I try to keep in low revs when ever I can on the Minstral-Cote d'Azur enduro...At least until the other 787b catches up from his 3 lap pit schedule. :confused:
 
the RUF RGT, semi-stock with full-racing transmission and port polishing (not sure if the polish even affects anything...).

but nothing comes close to the fully modified GT2 Atlantique 400GT...oohhh...:drool:
 
I agree - the Alpha 155 from GT2 was very tasty.
Of the GT3 lot, the 787 is nice, but perhaps too subtle, the GT40 sounds that little bit different, more unusual, than any of the rest.

Never heard one in real life - how lifelike is it?

The Falcon would blow all others away if it was anything like the real thing. The V8 Supercars are simply awesome. :cool:

i have a video on my hard drive: it's pretty accurate, but that annoying clicky sound is much more subtle IRL.
 
First and foremost: Shelby Cobra, with stock everything, shift into 4th and get up to about 600 rpm and stand on it with yer volume up. She just chuggs away!

Secondly, definetly the 787B

then maybe the Mustang, or GT40, but the NSX's are nice too!
 
If someone already said TVR Speed 12, they are right. 1st time I heard that thing it pulled a gleeful chuckle out of my soul. That's the car the Devil should have driven in "The 9th Gate".
 
the High RPM sound of 787b is just un beatable...
one thing is tho, 787b is supposed to be NA IRL life but in the game its trubo... how come?
 
I agree that the sounds in gt3 are pretty weak. I went to usgp and those 3liter NA f1 engines SCREAM. It would likely be the loudest thing you have ever heard. When a car goes by in the game you should feel the exhaust note in your spine. This is lacking from the game. With a more realistic interior view with dash/steering wheel/windsheild, and more realistic sounds, the experience of the game would definately feel more real. Even with the existing diarrhea ai. Colin mcrae games feel very real with just the added dash view.
 
A Nissan 240SX Type X w/ a semi-racing or racing muffler sounds nice
