What is the purpose of adding replays to "favourites"?

Just wondered what the purpose of this function is? I know adding cars to "favourites" is so you can have quick access to your cars offline, and to be able to use them online. Is this function so you can share replays with friends or just a way of sorting your replays?

Sorry if there is a thread on this already but I tried searching and nothing came up, so mods feel free to lock this thread and point me in the right direction!:)

Sadly, we cannot share replays with anybody anywhere. This is one of the many neat little things that the game should have done and that rival games (FM3) have done but so far we can't do. The whole sharing thing is still woefully inept in GT5. Even if we were suddenly able to share with friends, that's still a joke compared to what we should be able to do: share with the entire friggin' community.

Right now, there's little use for replays at all, and no use at all for favoriting them.
