what is the quickest road car for drag racing

at the moment the fastest/quickest car i have found in a drag race is the Skyline R34 M spec ll 02' it has aorund 783bhp and it will leave every single car i can think of. apart from the bugatti can you think of any cars which are faster/quicker?

ps. just coz a car has 786 bhp doesnt mean its slow off the mark..
 
lol :P You are clearly racing against people who aren't taking it as seriously as you are :) Where's aj when you need him? He loves his drag racing and he'd beat you with his Vette anyday (not down to his LSD if he reads this! :P)

I personally don't do drag racing, doesn't really prove anything ... Keeping up with a Nomad Diablo in a Supra however, now that proves stuff!

A premium GT40 '06 will leave even LMPs for dead!

I have one, with 858bhp, and I was doing 246mph (not drafting) down the back straight of La Sarthe, the guy behind me in the XJR-9 was in disbelief that I was pulling away from him! I'm more than certain that the GT40 '06 can do in excess of 250mph, 👍
 
Yeh ... Audi R8 can do 270mph lol :P

Ferrari Enzo aswell is 250mph +

Mind has gone blank over anything else

hmmm would you mind helping me test the gt40 vs the skyline? and i am doing the drag race on the topgear track, end to end
 
as you know drag races are over short distances so i chose the top gear track and the skyline gets to max speed of 170mph im looking for a car that can leave the skyline for dead but so far i have not :(
 
People keep forgetting, the 2006 Ford GT is not a GT40. If it was, they would've called it the Ford GT40.

But the top speed is immense.
 
Have you bothered to tune any of these cars ... such as ... the transmission ... on the rare ocassion I have done that run nothing beats my Z06 ...

yea all the cars i have tested the skyline against have been fully tunned and im sorry to say the z06 was one of them :(
 
Well maybe it's time you jumped of the skylines Knob and tried a new car. There are LOT's of cars that will smoke an R34.

you are a real retard... i have been saying that i have not yet found a car that can beat it in a drag race on the top gear test track and i am asking for suggestions and if there are lots of cars name some and then come and show me coz i really want to know...
 
I drag I use that skyline because it does destroy many many cars. Join a JDM drag lobby and if losers come in and ruin it with race cars that the skyline can beat, embarrass them with it haha. :)

The best jdm car to drag with would probably be the skyline r34 m spec II '02 because of its high bhp and good starts.

The best road car to drag with would be one of those more expensive cars like a ford gt, gt40, or a viper srt10 (the year depends).

But JDM drags are the best in my opinion.

i realized the audi le mans quattro in the 1/4 mile is pretty much unbeatable. 909 hp and awd, game over

for the whole tunnel in ssr7, cien, enzo, vipers, ford gt (no stripe) are probably the fastest

add me on psn if you want to run sometime

these are street cars besides the veyron

it launches slow, as soon as it catches traction its quick to 240 ish then just hits a wall

its mid range is insane though, from 100ish to 200+ its hard to beat

my speed 12 has over 1000hp, it think 1027 to be exact

its great if you want to start from a roll
 
Depends on how far you are racing. I have had luck with the CIEN on tunnel races.Of course it's tuned for just tunnel races and I don't think people do this properly. On 1/4 mile races I would go with some 4WD. Tommy Kaira ZZ-II anyone or Escudo maybe.

I am saying this of course thinking that you mean something other then the Bugatti or X2010.

Oh and I find that any Skyline is terrible at Drag racing. Maybe It's peoples tune.
