Yep, only works with premium rally cars (not even sure if it works with all premium rally cars, I can only confirm it works with the Subaru) and you have to crash A LOT.

I can confirm that it works with the Ford Focus rally car as well

So that's two:tup:

Who the hell plays rally and who the hell uses rally cars?

Thats why you havent seen it before

Strictly marketing - Hey look at GT5, we have a high level of damage! Buy this game!

As it turns out, only 4 cars actually damage that way. Total scam.

If you check the photo mode section you can see some of the pictures of cars with missing doors.

I have used several of the cars and never once had my doors come off. People in Veyrons doing 260 hit me standing still online and nothing after like 10 mins. its BS!

it take about 20-30 minutes of driving the rally cars around smashing into anything you can find for them to come off

I have done some awesome online rally races Eiger trails are amazing, only the dust becomes a pain when behind.

Well that pretty much explains it. Maybe they'll re-up the damage engine in the next update. HA! RIGHT. And we'll also get space ships..... oh right... we just got that new red bull car....

when your door is hanging open it also slows your car down A LOT, somewhere around 80mph top speed until it falls off completely

yes took me 20 min of flying and rolling at trial mountain's final corner to loose a door

You are best with a rally car. The Mine's BNR34 SKYLINE GT-R N1 base '06 works also very good. :D:tup:

If you want fast damage, use a small track (f.e. Tsukuba), drive in the wrong direction & smash into the AI cars. Try to get hit by them on your doors & you will loose the doors very fast. :sly:

I also noticed a strange bug where the car couldn't accelate as before (with a slightly open door). But with the lost door the car was back to it's glory. Would be a bit 🤬 if it happens in a real race to you. 💡

Here I've found a video of the damage (notice the 2 doors laying on the ground):

Ahh, I am not alone. :D

I have experience glitches where my Challenger R/T RM driver side door looks like its been beat up and slightly open. This has happened to me on Leige and Daytona a few times.

Just go into Arcade, choose the Citroen Rally Car and Indy. Make the AI Advanced so they drive at full speed, and go in reverse around the track (Turn around for full effect, so you face the AI). Eventually the impacts will seperate them out a bit and you won't get good group hits, so reset if they spread out too much. Also, you can e-brake into them to get a good moving broadside going :D Lost both doors this way. Also crapped out the engine and transmission.

Plus, obviously have damage on heavy. Save the replay too its entertaining :D
