GTP. I need your help

equipmentm.jpg

Picked this up at a little second hand store for free. What I can gather about it is it's a piece of exercise equipment. What I don't know is what it is called.

So any information on what it does or what it is called would be helpful

Thanks in advance

It basically wastes your time like most other made-for-TV exercise equipment. It's like a assisted leg-press machine. It's kind of a stepping stone for people who are functionally unable to squat, but you would get more of a workout just by getting up off the toilet.

I would worry about that rusted-out T-joint on the rear legs.

It's called a waste of time and money (not in your case, but still), sorry to be an ass but most exercise equipment like that is. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Why do you need to know the name of it?

Try cleaning up the yard. IGetting rid of all that junk will give you plenty of exercise. Looks like an episode of Hoarders on A&E.

Thanks for the info Omnis, it feels like it exercise something but then when I get off of it it doesn't really feel like I've done any exericise unlike when I do weights

Didn't know what it was or anything, just picked it up so I wanted to know a bit more about it, that why I wanted to know what it was called so I could find out a bit more about it and what it does, aparently it doesn't do anything.

Try cleaning up the yard.

It's not my problem and its not that messy anyway.

I believe it's called a rider. I don't think it does much.

Thanks Joey D, i doubt I'll find much through old google with that but thanks anyway since I have something to work from.

I had something very similar to that years ago but I believe the handles were different, the only thing I found it was good for was to pile clothes on top of it.

Haha, no offense but your yard looks like **** man. Take some pride, all you're missing is a few rusted out cars on cinder blocks.

Well show us pics of your backyards then boys. If it doesn't look like an episode of CRIBS and your yards aren't manicured like a golf course then you shouldn't be saying stuff to Camryfan. ;)

Uhh, his back yard looks like ****, so I told him. My back yard does look better though, mostly because I take the time to mow the lawn, and also take general precautions to be sure that my yard does not look like a junk yard.

I think there are a few points along the scale between "manicured like a golf course" and "Another Fine Project by the Jerry Springer Landscaping company," no?

I'm guessing the "It's not my problem" attitude is what got the yard looking that way in the first place.

Oh yeah here you go Mafia_boy I dug up an old video my girlfriend had taken of my yard. Looks great, doesn't it?

Ok Max Power we get it, this is gone way past being funny (which it never was) and your backyard is, well it looks like that anyway. Here's another idea, why don't you start your own "Show your backyards" thread and get out of my thread cause I've had enough of it.

A lot of it isn't junk either, two of the vehicles pictured are being kept there due to vandilism in the area, ones an exercise bike that hasn't been removed yet and well, I dont really have to explain myself to you Anderton Prime

Now, thanks to Blitz187 for the info and Mafs for the support.

On topic now, Even with the word Body Rider plugged into Google it doesn't seem to gather many responses which seems to confirm that this is one of those cheapo machines advertised on late night tele

Just calling it like I see it, playa. If you don't want people to criticize your messy yard don't take a picture of it.

Sorry about ruining YOUR thread. :)

PS I got that video FROM the show your back yards thread, otherwise I would have made one, thanks for the tip though.:) :) :) :) 👍

Okay, after seeing the video....a fair bit of it looks alright Max. 👍 But, I bet you can't keep it that way here in Australia though because a lot of us live (like I do now) in the bush and most of it is just that....BUSH! and to try and fix it up is like pushing the proverbial 🤬 up a hill when you do try and fix it. For instance, my yard only 5 days ago looked dead, but we've had a heap of heavy rain here this week and now it looks like a jungle again! :sly:

That is true, it might not look so good if I was in such a dry climate.

From the sounds of it, it's pretty hard to grow grass in this bush that you speak of too. It's pretty easy to maintain ours, just have to do some laps with the riding mower, usually takes about an hour.

So... Umm.... Should I post some links about garden maintenance now? :P
