What is this? Youtube issues

So, whenever I play a video on Youtube I get this:

But, it's only when I play single videos. If I put it in a playlist, it plays just fine. I don't understand what's going on. Anyone else have this issue?


EDIT: Oddly enough, it doesn't happen with any of the Creature videos. If you don't know who they are, look up Happy Wheels with Nova on Youtube.

After looking around it seems it's on random videos. It seems like a hack job, really. Like one of those "type this and this will happen" things. I first noticed on some MotoTV videos yesterday, and thought it might be just on old videos but, the RT Ten Years Retrospective was put up just yesterday.

It also doesn't happen when I play videos on my Xbox.
 
Looks like artifacts to me.

Does this happen only on Youtube or does this happen on games also?
 
Are you using Chrome(ion), on Ubuntu? If so try looking at this. Especially comment #29 might be helpful 👍.

This seems to only be happening with HTML5 video, but I have no knowledge on this. - Have you tried a different browser?

Thanks. Seems like the easiest thing for me to do is use a different browser. Which is fine. Thanks for the help.
