What is with People?

Ok, so I've tuned some cars into being really good drag cars. However when I go to use them and I'm demolishing people I always get kicked, limiting my room options and for what I like to do lol.


Anyone ever have this problem?

lol many times. The host usually talks about how his cars own and when you humiliate him, you get kicked. I always send PM's to the host which often go on unanswered.


So this is why I like to start my own rooms

Yeah I have this problem, not with drag, but clean racing.
The key is to find a room where the host shares the same national flag as you, then you should be OK.
If you can't, unfortunately, there is a lot of childishness on GT5, and every other online game for that matter, and that is something we all must live with.

Usually the host is of the same nation as me lol.


It's freaking annoying. In the last hour alone I've been kicked from 6 rooms.

In that case, as Dalightninracer suggested, you are probably humiliating the host.
To be honest, I am now just entering free runs online, as there are so many tw@s out there who won't be beaten.
I find the Clubman Cup more challenging than these idiots.

If I was the host I would have asked kindly what tips you could give and learn something, then kick you.......................just kidding, but for real, sore losers are everywhere, it's sad really.

I sometimes wonder how these people react when they lose in a real life situation, that is of course they socialize outside the interwebz.

I hardly bother with online lounges any more. Last night I popped in for a look and found a Laguna Seca race with limit at 1000 PP. Ah good, I thought, an all out race car race!

Went in with the Bentley, mingled a bit with the other 11 hopefuls (there was a Sauber C9, a Judd and a couple of other nice racers....). Looked like it was going to be fun, then the host after discussion with his buddies, decided to change the rules to 650 HP, which eliminated about 4 of us there and then!

Why? What was the point in getting all the racers in and then changing the rules?

In the time I've had the game, I have only had one or two good races in the lounges. Mostly they're a complete waste of time.

Welcome to reality, i get kicked often as well for no reason. Usually the host must be a dumb mother....if he kicks people that are faster then him and his friends.

Last time i got kicked was because the hosts friend didnt like me. Well, very few people know each other in person in online gaming, just saying....

If a person runs hit mouth, and then get smoked, he deserves to get humiliated. Basic rule, dont do a call out if you cant handle the heat.

haha i have the same problem as well!

and i would start my own room but it takes forever for anyone to join....and i would invite my mates but half the time their in that B-Spec mode thing or playing COD!

Which is BS. I worked my butt off to tune some of these cars to get them where they are now. I shouldn't get kicked for showing off my hard work.

One time at Indy when I was dragging some people I never met before, we were all lined up and had several cars lined up behind me. Then here comes this 1X from nowhere going a gazillion mph and takes us all out. I told the host to kick the X1 and I get kicked instead 👎

I know, but as far as i know there are plenty of servers for indy 1/4 mile, and some are quite good actually. Unfortiunatly, there are far to many uneducated (in sence of tuning) on indy servers. Many hosts abusing their power and should be banned from psn. I dont have any respect for the host if hes an idiot.

It's sad though, seems most people feel it's easier to kick someone than accept defeat...

Well, yes, I could have done that, but once the "you have been eliminated" notice (or whatever it was) came up I sort of lost interest!

I have only had one or two good races in the lounges. Mostly they're a complete waste of time.

That is why i don`t race online either. I like a race were a rare bump is accepted. And where the other driver is of the same caliber (just as good or as bad as me, you pick). I like to race with the aids on and with racing softs.

I had competitive races with one guy using a Zonda R. I was using the CLK touring car. Too bad i did not add him as my friend, don`t know his PS3 name.

And this other driver likes to race old timers, his name was something like htmajor. He was better than me, it was no contest and he even let me win. Omg i knew that he let me pass and i still did it, i like to win ....

But the other races were a complete waste of my time. Rooms with rules i don`t like, people driving in the wrong direction, hosts that kick you when you beat them in the same car ....

The best is when you drive someone who you actually know in real life, so much fun to discuss it afterwards.

Too bad a buddy of mine does not like GT5 anymore. We had so much fun with NFS hot pursuit (interceptor).

Sorry, have to step in here. Erm ..... no, NASCAR hosts do not do this. These rooms want and need as many participants as possible to make them fun, and as long as everyone is clean, then the hosts do not care whether they win or not.

People will obviously get kicked if they try and enter with a non NASCAR, without a mic in a 'mic or kicked' room, rude or abusive.

If someone (or a few) comes into a busy room and are involved in a wreck which potentially they caused, they will 'always' be given a second chance to race again .... unless they are obviously there just to be a nuisance.

Those that race hard but fair and clean, whether win or lose, will not get kicked, but get FR'd.

This...I don't race online though now because some people aren't like this. The problem with racing here is I'm outclassed most of the time
