Hey, I have started a new game after getting platinum trophy and Im onli using one car yet. When I check the car's stats it shows 250 km. (distance passed on a car)
When I go to profile stats from GTLife menu my total mileage driven is 450 km!!!!!
I didnt race online, no free roam, no arcade, no lisences and specials.
I race once on seasonal drift about 4-5 runs in London drift trial which summary could not be more than 5-7 kilometers.
I used my car mentioned above only for drifting in practice mode time trial.
Does anybody can explain?

Miles driven includes B-spec. If you've done any B-spec racing (including having drivers available for others to remote race online) that will be included in your total miles driven.

I DO NOT HAVE any single B-Spec driver.

When drifting the tyres are moving much faster than the car is actually moving. So if PD programmed that into the game, then it would make sense.

I have been drifting on my car since new game and distance driven by car is 250 km. If they programmed it that way you mention then distance in profile stats must be less than on my car because my car was used only for drifting and wheels made more distance than a lap length...

I'd be pleased as it gets you that much closer to a 1000 ticket.

Will burnout tyre lets say for 1 hour..will that count the milage too?

I think it's safe to say that nobody has tested this. And until further notice cannot be sure about what counts as milage.

Theory: Mileage in the seasonal events probably is not counted for the car, but only for your total mileage.

If you take a car which had just an oil change and do a seasonal time-trial or drift-trial, and then go back for an oil-change, it tells you that oil is still fine as if you had not driven the car at all. That's a very strong indication that at least the first part of the theory is true.

Seasonals mileage is counted towards your cars too. Did several seasonals with cars with 0 km on them, after the seasonals they all had tens of kms (well, the race distance) on them.:)

Isn't there any possibility of having purchased a car with a mileage of no less than a hundred kilometers at a used car dealership? Additional distance covered in a couple of races is counted into the total mileage of distance.

Haha thanks m8, yeah all the sudden when read "run the car in reverse to back down mileage" that movie come to mind right away.. and just felt I had to post it :)

I was referring to Time and Drift Trials. (That's where I noticed those events did not touch the oil). It seems you were talking about the seasonal races.
