What is wrong with my GT5???

I got very long loading times and sometimes GT5 freezes for 30-60 seconds and arrow doesnt move. should i reinstall?

I had this happen to me yesterday; I figure it's because of a slow internet connection. Try logging out of PSN and then going into the game.

I think the problem is bigger than that... It now takes forever to just get into the home screen in GT5

Sure many others must have the same problem lately ?

I had a black screen for well over a minute, unfortunately the only way i could fix it was delete all the updates and re-download them. But saying that a friend had the same problem and re-downloading the patches did not fix the load time.

I sometimes have this when I don't mess around in menu for a longer time. I guess the game loses connection to server and needs to reconnect then.

When I entered to gtmode, it was 3 hours and still didn't load. I just quit and redid it.

Yeah, mine has just started acting up within the last couple of days. I had an infinite black screen, loading screens of 45+ seconds. Stuff like that. Game freezes etc.

Ummm, password protect your router???

If you don't do it on the regular start clearing your cache. It's under

Options => Network => Clear Cache

Just a heads up if you have never done this before the first time could take up to 20 minutes.

I only get slow load times if I boot into GT5 with my wheel plugged in, if I boot first then plug it in, it works fine. Other than that, everything else seems fine.

Edit, clearing your cache doesn't always help. If you don't do it regularly, don't do it, if you have been doing it, its fine. I haven't cleared my cache since the last update (2.07?), it works much better than it did when I use to clear it everyday.

Clear the cache in the internet browser as well. Start the brower, press triangle, go up to tools --> then down to clear cache and press X. You won't get a confirmation or anything status bar, but it is cleared.
