I think the Group C era (1982-1993?) was the best. The cars looked so unique. I cannot explain it, but I think Group C cars' bodies just looked more..wild and cooler than LMP1, LMP2, LMPC, etc.

So what was your favorite car from that era?

The 962c, 956, and 767 are my favorites.

Move to the motorsports section?

The 787B both looks and sounds brilliant. But I'd be hard pressed to choose a favourite. I have a soft spot for the Lancia-Ferrari LC2, and anything that was used by Spice should be right up there.

And of course, you cannot ignore the Porsche 956.

I particularly like the ultra high-tech 3.5 L cars, specifically the TS010, 905b, C291, NP35 and XJR-14/MXR-01. Perhaps not as slick looking as the earlier cars, but these machines were producing near-modern levels of downforce and had a sound that certainly surpassed their predecessors.

Remember when Schumacher spun his C11 at Le Mans?

Man was that awkward.

My favorite is the C9/C11 though.

The C291 just sounds odd with that F1 type note. It needs that twin turbo muscle car roar!

When pretty much everybody else had a 3.5L twin-turbo V8 (Porsche of course had a flat-6) This car had a NA 6.5L (later a 7.0L) V12.

And it sounded pretty good to.
