Favorite group for Daily races/FiA races?

Alpha - when I shift up - I'm usually too late. And in downshifts - I'm unsure couse of the speed - I downshift one gear too much.
I have that problem since always - 'couse in every racing game, I prefer Gr4 alike cars ... I was never big fan of hyper cars.
I just miss the moment in upshifting, and in downshifting - I'm unsure how much do I need downshift and adopt shifting to speed.
I don't have that problem in Gr4 'couse cars are way slower. But in Gr3 I have. I think I don't need to comment on Gr2 then. xD

Well you should be remembering which gear you are in at the end of every straight, and which you should be in for every corner. Then you just have to count the downshifts in your head each time you are braking.
 
Exactly, I had multiple top 10 times in those races. In other races it's a different story...I rarely make the top 10.
 
For me it’s close between all 4 groups cos as long as it’s close I don’t mind
I like the challenge of the Gr1 speed and overwhelming grip at times
Gr2 is also fun as it’s a stickier Gr3 with a bit more power, I prefer to have a little less grip tbh just to feel like I know what’s going on, Gr2 is a bit once you’ve lost grip you’ve derailed a bit not always but much more than the following groups
Gr3 has enough power to keep you on your toes and good handling the cars are really good for racing and racecraft I think. And good fun to push
Gr4 is a different style of driving something to adapt and I often find more difficult to make the time like I can with the more powerful classes
Gr3 takes it for me but only just

Hmm, it's like Jamie said. Try remembering at what point of the track when you shift up. For me this is already an instinct so I just shift up mindlessly, but when I need to shift at somewhere else in the rev range and not at the top like I'm used to, I usually either look at the rev bar and shift at the point I want to consciously, or try to remember at which part of the track do I upshift.

My guess is you're shifting up or down in reaction to what the car is doing. The advice I gave with trying to remember when to shift at the rev bar or by looking for markers at the track, will hopefully help you shift up in anticipation to what the car will be doing, as opposed to in reaction to what the car is doing :)

Downshifting is a much more complicated matter though, since even the same corner would be taken at different gears depending on the situation. Hmm, I guess for starters, try to look at the gear indicator that the HUD tells you to shift down to, and then shift down 1 gear higher to what it's suggesting :) hope this helps!
