What is your lap time with the S2000 on the Nordschleife?

Hey,

I don't know if this is the right place to ask it...?
If so, what lap time could you set with these rules?

Rules:
- Use Arcade Mode - Time Trial to set the lap.
- Completely stock premium Honda S2000 without oil change and 0 mileage.
- The tires you should use are Sport Hard.
- Nordschleife (not Type V or 24h etc.).
- No driving assists, except ABS on 1.
- Grip reduction set to real.
- Did I forget something?

I am still learning to drive with a G27, pretty hard in my opinion. ;)
My best lap time is 8:22,8xx (not a very good time I think, but I am still learning).

Please say what you used to set the lap time. Wheel (with or without clutch) or DS3.

The S2000 is just amazing and great fun on the Nordschleife.
I can't tell you how much I like this car!
Let me know what your lap time is if you give this a try! :)

I edited the main post, no wheel restriction anymore.
But... You must say what you used to set the time, so in your case a DFGT. :)
 
I suggest you to take brand new car from NCD, without oil change and engine break in, Comfort Soft tires, and try it in Arcade Mode-Time trial so with 0 mileage we will be all equal around. And then....we check our lap times. They should be legit, of course.

The tires are Sport Hard...
Comfort Soft are too hard to drive with, I am still learning. ;)

Had a quick go, just the 1 lap. 8:29.157 with a fanatec csr wheel and clubsport pedals.
Only had them a week so that time has lots of room for improvement ;)
 
Had a quick go myself. Not sure it meets your criteria but here goes.
All aids off except ABS, though I did use automatic gearbox,
8:33.743 lap 1 (out lap)
8:25.946 lap 2 (flying lap)
On a DS3. Though I would like to give this a crack with my G27 when I have time.
Nice little challenge 👍 I don't consider myself familiar with the ring but LOVE the S2000, so I couldn't pass this up. :D

I use G27 with clutch and all aids off except ABS.
When I have some time, I will try to get a time under 8:20,000. ;)
 
I've just tried this and my first lap was a 8:24:902. Not too bad considering I rarely use this car, and it's a bit of a slippy one. I'll keep trying, like you I'd like to get under 8:20:***

Yes, is the Track Grip Reduction on Wet/Track Edge set to Low or Real

I used Real.

I want to set a time under 8:20.xxx too, but I have little time for the nest days...

The following video is a for a laptime of 8:16:035, but since I uploaded that one I have gotten a time of 8:11:5xx, can't remember exactly. I will try and get that video uploaded tomorrow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-UAraJD7K8&feature=youtu.be

I followed all of the rules except for the fact that I didn't use a clutch (awful hard with the DFGT :P). I am hoping to get a Fanatec soon so I will have access to a clutch and H-shifter.
 
Great challenge, spent a little time last night seeing what i could do and best so far is a 8:14:7xx, that's with a DFGT.

Definitely room for improvement just need to be a little braver in some places :lol:
 
Thread seems pretty dead, but in preparation of the new game I came back to this challenge. So fun, I find the ring is almost like meditation.

In the meantime I have gotten a 8:09.525.

Since the last time posting I have gotten a g27, and I think the improved feel of the pedals definitely has made me more consistent.
 
8:22.9 with g25 using clutch, only aid is abs.
It is a pretty fun combination though!
