i own the car because it is a british classic, its design is wicked, who cares about its performance, NE fans of the mini cooper around. i really like this car. i won it and tuned it up to max performance.
In here u can vote for your favourite light car, between 2.
I know that is not the widest choice of light car to vote for ,but to me they are both of the 2 best cars to vote between.
 
Hey, Megalomaniac, I don't think I've welcomed you yet, so welcome!

I'm split on this one. I like the Mini better because as you say it's a classic. However, I won the Avansanto, and modded it up until I won a surprising number of races with it. I'd rather have had the Mini but as everybody knows, you run what ya brung in the early days. I was stupid and sold the purple Mini I won without really modding it at all.

Once I get bored I'll probably buy another Mini, and tune it up to play with.
 
thanx for welcoming me neon, and i am glad that there is someone who likes the mini cooper, i just have this thing for it, i don't know why. i agree though the avansanto is an overall better car. thanx for posting on this thread
 
The mini handles sooo much better than that daihatsu by miles, mine is set up just right so it oversteers through the corners its maaaaaaaad.

yes i know Y2 TUSCAN the mini cooper is definitely better in the handling and u can also tune it up to be slightly faster, i was just experimenting with the full transmission until i got a good setting.

I'm just running the Beetle cup and having fun with underpowered cars again. I'm going to have to buy a Mini to replace the prize car, and tune it up a little.

Too bad you can't get them in scarlet with a Union Jack on the roof!

I used an X-Port hybrid kit and put the Peugeot 206 rally car engine in it and 4 Escudo turbos (plus the usual balancing, racing chip etc). Needless to say, the brakes arn't up to the job! :lol:

I don't think you can actually buy the Mini, I think it can only be won like the F1 cars. If it can be bought, let me know where from!
 
I have actually bought very few cars, so I don't really know what's available. I guess I'm going to have to dust off an older car and rerun some beginning races...

Al jones you can win a mini in the light car cup, and also in the european championship in the amatuer league.
So TVR king u did this little mini hybrid in your spare time, its amazing how u can shove in a different car engine with grunts more power than it originally had. My mini in GT3 is 166hp which is really powerfull for a mini of course as u start out on 61hp.
Yeah, too bad that there are not a wider range of colours for da mini i don't see how you cannot buy the car, its a shame. But i hope that u can buy the car in Gran turismo 4(if it does come out)
Tuning up the mini makes a big difference to when u first begin, i have won quite a few races in it.
What are your top speeds in the mini when running on the test course? i am off to mess about with its transmission to find a good setting for it then find its top speed and tell u.

Oh how I want the new Mini Cooper S (Supercharged version) to have that paint scheme in GT4 I hope :D

The thing I like about the mini is that it handles like a go cart meaning you can easily swing it through turns at higher speeds than quite a few normal cars can. Im gonna fit sim tyres and set mine up to do some big ass drifts.
 
Hey troy i think u need to upgrade da mini a bit more, unless your just beggining with the upgrades.
Mini definitely have the coolest colours the design also makes the mini's colour look really good!!! Its one hell of a kick ass machine.
I would love to have a super charged mini, that would be the pride of my collection. Yeah i noticed, the mini drifts rather well and quickly because of its light weight that helps, its by far the best small car of them all!

i don't think those slang words are appropriate for my fav car in my thread NE way i am not just talkin bout da car in the game but also those who own one. Im fond the car because its a british icon and a very famous car that represents my nation.

I use the car for pleasure races in arcade and serious races in the game. I know u might not like it, its more of a certain taste that u need in a car that i have.
Well can u put ur feelings on the car in a more sensible way please

Dude then that is your loss. The Mini is a classic, has a long distinguished racing/rally history, and can be a ball to drive.

No it is not a Skyline/Supra/Viper/whatever, but that's not where its Tao lies.
 
yeah it may not be a super car that is high on super speed, and awful handling , but a car that fun to drive excellent handling a wacky design a compact car, thats great in all rallies that i have driven it in, in the game, i recon that if it were in a twisty european course against an escudo or dodge viper or any car not designed to take on twisty roads the mini would win coz it is designed in a continent that has got losts of twisty mountainous terrain.
NO offence to NE1 owning an escudo or viper coz i also own those cars in the game.
 
WOW! 20,000 is it a certain car that u have that is extremely powerful, and the speed sounds phenominal, 600+MPH INCREDIBLE! How did u manage that HOW? , i have an escudo in the game and that goes 949.1 or 593 Mph. If thats a mini's power and speed i'll eat my hat!!
 
Cool, minis rock they were made in america? There must be a few industries that make the new mini in america, though there also must be alot of the old minis all over the world, i prefer the older mini its design is most original.
