What keeps you going!

Forza is a great game, but also it can get a bit of a grinding session sometimes. I would like to find out what keeps people going. Ive always found, making a car from something simple to something great by tuning and painting it. What drives you?
 
I havnt found it a grind yet personally. Certainly not on the level of "other" racing games.

However, if I fancy a switch from World Tour I jump into rivals. I can easily rack 2-3 hours gameplay before having to force myself/be forced, to stop.

and as you say, creating cars is always fun, especially with 100% parts discount!
 
I feel you on that part, Im very much into the game right now. I remember from Forza 3 the R2 races, where i had to do 11-14 laps around the same track. That got boring for me after awhile.

Haven't found any sort of grind yet, thanks to the new affinity system its much easier to use new cars for different class races. At times its good to jump in a muscle car and race in A class against the Ferraris and other sports cars without having to spend money to have different upgrade setups to experiment with. Also the way world tour gives different race options based on the car you are in is just great, I usually go down to a very low class of cars after doing something like and R3 or R2 race.

I am really please with everything T10 did with the single player modes and races with this game. Now if they just offer great DLC packs!

I love the Nordschleife, mastering its corners, trying to cut my time down. I could see you, your wife/GF calling you to bed, but you telling her just one more lap around the Nordschleife!

She left years ago, mentioned something like "you love that track more than me" as she went out the door, Wasn't paying much attention i was 0.700 faster than my PB at the time. :P
 
Well, what keeps me going... Addiction?

Well, not quite, but it's close. I always want to beat the next race, get to the next event, the next driver level, the next affinity level. I want to get the next car, beat another rival, take another foto, tune another car, get the next million credits... You get the idea. There's so much to do that I'm currently necleting most of what I still want to do because I'm so hung up on getting to World Tour's tenth season, that I will only interupt that to take photos or maybe take a quick look at rivals mode.
 
Lumi, do you think the RUF RT12 R would massacre an Enzo round the 'Ring? Have you seen one in Germany yet? ;)👍

Anyway, what keeps me going is simply the thrill of racing so many different cars, testing them on Benchmark, listening to the roar of the engines, etc.

Today, I took an F50 out on the Nordschleife and it was a blast just to scream around and listen to that V12 roar like a lion! :D
 
I just shake things up. I am on my 5th year, I think it's starting 14 events. So after just finishing 12 events, I move to online, rivals, soccer. Or I go into free mode, and try to reproduce things that people have claimed.

Example, someone said that the Green Hell is not 12.90 miles in FM3, but is actually 2 miles longer than that in the game, making it inaccurate. Well, I decided to take my ZERO mile Veyron from my garage under free play to see how many miles it was. Needless to say, I tried it twice, but the miles were not tacked on to the car in free play. Career is where it registers the miles. So, I understand that there is NO FULL ring in career, so my next option is to test it in rivals mode because that has the full ring, and I am going to see if the track is longer than 12.90 miles.

Small things like that, working on achievements, reading the ENDLESS messages I get in the message center.
 
At first it was the idea of wanting to reach level 50. Once I got to level 50 it changed to earning enough credits to purchase cars that I really want, one at a time.

That sounds alot like me, ill do that, but its all good fun :).

Use a car that's got a working odometer.

Im talking about the grind of racing, 25 laps on the same course, then doing it again becomes a grind.
 
The only part that is a "grind" to me is waiting for the TV/Receiver and 360 to power up. Those precious seconds could be used on the track

Not sure why you would have to repeat the exact same race and scenario.

Leaderboards will keep the game going.
Painting, tuning, photography, messing around with playground stuff.

I honestly don't see a grind. Feel sorry for those that do.
 
Tuning, painting, photography, testing, all keep me going. I cant wait for Forza 6 so the game can be beamed into my head and you can almost smell the gas!
 
I still haven't got my head round it. This game has so much content, so much to offer that I don't think it'll ever be "grinding" in the way I understand the word. Longer races are just fine every now and then!

I'm something like lvl 25 and I think I've tried something like 1/3 of the different modes available, this is heaven! :D
 
50% of people on my friends list or in FPM are faster than me, that's what keeps me going.

Also makes me do this.

Every time I load the game up, I don't know which direction to take. Wanted to do rivals tonight, ended up painting a car, then doing some, then doing some more World Tour to grab a free One-77. I haven't even done that much Photomode stuff yet!

Coming from certain other games, I haven't even had the faintest feeling of grinding yet. I'm sure I will later (especially once the gift cars dry up at 50), but for now, I feel spoiled for choices.
 
I haven't felt a single grind yet. I've still got some 100-something levels to go through and it's nothing short of awesome. There's photos, rivals (foolish people beating my times), tuning, painting, photos, free runs, autovista, photos, autovista...

You get the point.
 
Haven't really found it to be a grind yet. I'm only around level 34, so maybe that's why. But if I feel the need to change it up from World Tour. I play around with the livery editor, maybe see what car I can modify. Then there's always the Rivals mode, and the online racing. So far I haven't been bored with the game, as there's something that I could do.
