Now, i know there was alot of complaining about more update's and private room's, And tons of people saying that they were going to put gt down until something new of that sort came along. But what about everyone else.
I know GT5P get's boring quickly at times, But i still come back to it just as fast as i left it.

IMO it's just a good game, Just doing simple time attacks for up to god know's how many lap's is ok with me, Even getting into good races with The Vastly improved AI. It's all good fun, And even with a handful of tracks, racing online is still fun.
I guess it boils down to the fact that This game can be a proper sim with a good wheel and setup. G25, DFGT excettera

What about every one else, why do you still continue to play "GT5P" What keep's you coming back for more.

Even after knowing there will be no more updates, Excluding online Event updates.

I continue to play the game as there are always good races happening online which are good to participate in, plus the WRS is good fun. :)

I havn't really done many AI races, but will try it out sometime. The big reason is the time trials. There are masses of combos that you can do and have a lot of fun just driving all the cars on the tracks.

They're my thoughts anyway.

I still love GT5P mainly because I've got a great bunch of GTP friends(you know who you are) and I enter plenty of GT5P comps. That keeps me very busy.

I also love racing online, especially against these two, Animera and AUSnicko9. There are plenty of others I race with as well.

If you're getting bored of GT5P enter comps,(e.g WRS, Enhance Your Skills)and find some GTP friends and do some clean online racing.👍

Yeah, I love racing online with you two. We always have fantastic races. :)

The feel of the cars, racing 60 laps with s2 or s3 tyres and high AI. Looking at the models for ages, looking at the replays. Admiring the interior. Some more racing then, earning some money and back to arcade it is to race for 1.5 hours straight.

I just love the physics and the car models! I can look at cars all day long...at least if i wasn't studying law at the university...oh well, at least i'll be able to afford great cars in the future :)

Nothing.

Having taken GT5P online for the first time ever, and having every race spoiled by some punk kid crying because I'm beating him, I gave up. I'm not the fastest in the world, but on most races I was a top 3 driver. That is until the cry babies decide to try and ram you off the track, which most of the time, works. I know it's not the only game to suffer this flaw, but basically, as it is, online is unplayable. Until we get private rooms where you can race with like-minded people, PD will not be getting any more of my cash.

I dont think youve been racing at the right times... Check out the Race Events sub-forum... and join the people racing there... Last weekend was awesome racing the whole weekend in the 350z Cup at Suzuka... 👍

Guys, you lost, so deal with it. Crying over how they achieved it is pathetic. It’s a legal part of the game at the moment, so anything goes.

I keep coming back because after playing some simmy racers like Ferrari Challenge and GTR Evolution, I realize how far Kaz and the lads have come to capturing reality. Yeah, things could be tweaked a bit more, but it's so close now. And rather than being stuck with 200mph monsters all the time, I can enjoy a big taste of GT5 to come with cars from all classes. Plus the AI is very human, minus the punting kids. I can't stay away for long.

I come back for the V8s, a couple other cars I like, and tuning.

One word....G25.....if I didn't have a G25 wheel then I it wouldn't get anywhere near the playtime....

If I am in the mood for simulation then just switching on the PS3 the G25 starts to do its lock to lock thing and gets me in the mood.....using sim handling, pro physics, N or S tyres, full clutch and H pattern, with a decent HD tele close up, and surround sound, backed up with the slick graphics (and replays) and intense racing its just awesome everytime, GT5P rocks everytime.

Its not perfect I know, (punting needs to be sorted, private racing etc etc) I also like to play FC alot as a sim (which supports private and mics so it a better overall experience against my brother and friends) but there's more than enough to be great every time I switch it on. You feel YOU control every aspect of the car and the way it handles.

If a game doesn't support the G25 and I am forced to use the pad, then alot of enjoyment goes out the window, I recently took MS pacific rift back for this reason. I don't mind arcade driving games like Grid and MC LA if I want an arcade feel becuase you know what you getting, and they at least support it too. Only racing games i use with the pad are Wipeout and Motogp becuase they are not cars.

I currently work in the Amusement Arcade industry with many racing video games, and nothing comes close to the feeling of GT5P and FC with a G25 on a PS3.

Racing as part of a small team of friends, competing in online events and GTP official events are what keep me coming back. I am part of the T&L race team on here and we talk and chat on skype during our race nights which is usually incredibly good fun. The custom events set up by the tuners or just regular members is also a highlight. We've regularly managed full 12 car grids of GTP members during off-schedule custom races.

Being a part of the registry and the divisional system I find constant motivation to compete in the GTP WRS (Weekly Race Series) in order to be promoted and improve my personal technique and divisional status. Although I do admit that's not going to be interesting to all.

I find myself unable to stay away from it for longer than a few days, and when I do I get withdrawal symptoms. I'm looking into ordering a G25/Wheelstand pro combo for next month and I have no doubt that's going to mean my interest in the game is prolonged even further, not that it has waned since last May 👍

All the best
Maz

Agreed, 100%. The only thing missing is a multi-directional hydraulic mount and the smell of brakes, tires and exhaust.

lol, i think somewhere he splitt himself up into different minds.

Nomino, you're a weird one:nervous:

I usually take a break every now and then, and then come back for some nice racing in the WRS or start an online event like the 350Z Cup. Keeps things interesting. :) There are plenty of events to join in the events section. If not, create one. ;)

Online racing mainly.

But just spending an hour or so in a nicely set up car on Fuji making laps works wonders. :)

Drifting with friends! If there wasn't online and drift-able cars, I would of given up on GT5P by around early June (MGS4 )

Hot lapping various tracks with various (bone stock) cars.

I dont own GT5P, but after playing it extensively at my cousins I was able to see where Id spend the most time.

When I seen leaderboards for stock PP cars I fell in love.

Its what I spend the most time doing in FM2. No leaderbords(for stock PI), but having the best Porsches ever seen in a racing game at my disposal more than makes up for it.

Got my stock 997 GT2 down to 7:36:xxx at the ring. Slowly eeking my way toward Walter Roehrl's 7:32.XXX.

GT5 is not out yet, and it's the only game i have, except for NFS Undercover which gets lame after you beat it, plus its amazingly wonderful,

Getting disconnected 3/4's of the time is something that is going to make me want to put down GT5P real quick  If I have another week like I had today, bye bye GT5P, hello Rfactor :yuck:

For me it is the different races, like the one GTP_ DutchCustoms has going on! Sometimes in that race you see all GTP Drivers, and that is pretty cool. And i have NTSC and PAL Prologue. In the mornings it's PAL, then NTSC in the evenings!:)👍

LMAO after you left we all got d.c haha dont feel bad bro :sly:

I play because i got a G25 for X-mas, and couldnt use it til Febuary. If I was still using a controller I wouldnt have thumbs to play with. Also, I couldnt handle pro physics with a controller, so the physics are still kind of new. Most importantly, I couldnt race online until Thanksgiving of 2008 (im from WV give me a break) and believe it or not Im not tired of meeting people yet. Before that i hadnt played for a while.
