What kind of graphics card do you have?

My pc, 6800gt NVIDIA with 256mb video.

In dads, 8600/8800GT with 512mb of video (dont remember which).

In the Media PC on the big screen, 9800GT with 1gb of video and HDMI out:).

8600T at 512mb in the new comp. Getting that hooked up properly with XP Select at the weekend. Yay!

Will be nice to have a computer capable of sim racing on the PC. She runs quietly and nicely. Once Windows 7 is out next year, I'll chuck another couple of gig into the spare DIMM slot.

One of the lads I clan with bought an ATX 280 last year, spent about £400 on it iirc. Shocking, truly is.

Ati Radeon X550 256MB, feel the power!

Are you gonna make the switch over to 2 water-cooled GTX295's? :sly:

You had those 285's for way too long:)

I'm out of money man..... :D, and they were 280's? I would love three 285's!

To be honest, We're seen better overall performance from three 285's than to 295's, well.....on the Terran Conflict bench anyways. :D

Radeon HD4850.

I might upgrade to the GTX 275 down the road but first id like to see what new cards are coming out this year

Oh man, gotta hit the vantage bench thread with that card. :D

Downloading it now :) I'm not anticipating the best results though, I'm running a stock i7 920...once I get a proper cooling solution for it then I'll be ready to rock

Sweet!

Vantage isn't so CPU dependent. If you really want to take it through the paces, check out the Terran Conflict Demo. :nervous: It will find the weakest link in your system. :)

I have an overclocked 7900GS 512mb. It does me fine as I do not play games so much now on the PC other than some of the older onces of games that are not so graphics intensive.

For some reason this FSX game has gotten me all interested in making this computer faster...

Right now I'm dealing with an ATI X1250 IGP. I haven't figured out how to show the FPS in-game yet, but I'm guessing only 20 or so with the graphics less than halfway up. Damn this shared memory. I'm not a bit hardware-savvy, but this nifty Vista performance index thing says the graphics are weighing this machine down big time--3.0 isn't cutting it for a game that "recommends" 5.0.

FSX is known for its CPU limitation. Buying the most expensive graphics card in the world won't help you the slightest. It doesn't utalise dual or quad cores very well either (well, at all last time I checked), so really the best way to get any good performance out of it is the highest CPU clock speed you can find (Generally Speaking).

You can test this out by lowering the Resolution you usually play at, if you don't see a great increase of FPS at a lower resolution you're CPU bottlenecked.

Hmm I tried running Vantage (on Vista x64) and it just black screens - I'm thinking it could be my firewall (Comodo), I always have to disable it when I run Crysis.

I'll definitely grab that demo later, at the moment I'm finding Crysis quite thrilling - running at 1900x1200, 4xAA and all sliders on Very High :)

It's fun isn't it? :)

Nvidia 9400M (256MB) + 9600M GT (512MB) in my new unibody MacBook Pro, very impressed with the performance. Hopefully Hybrid SLI will be included in Snow Leopard so both cards can be used a the same time

The card for my new machine showed up today. A Sapphire Vapor-X 4850. It's more than I need. Frankly, I only need something to plug the monitor into.

I have a 8600GT I'll give my dad and an GTX260 192 core model. Love it. I pretty much run SETI and folding@home on it all the time I'm on playing.
