What mode do you drift in?

By mode, I mean arcade, or Run / Settings mode from Simulation, or do you just drift during normal races? I'm not new to GT by any means, but I am fairly new to drifting...just wondering what the best way to practice is. Forgive me if this has been discussed, I searched and didn't find any relevant info.

Personally, if all I have in mind is to drift, I go to the test & tune and have the whole track to myself. But if I have a race I'm looking to beat and want a challenge I'll try some speed drift but not too much.
 
Try going to arcade mode then free run pick a track then go to your garage. Thats what i do to go to different tracks to drift.

arcade cauz i got more tracks, and i doesnt add any days to my file :)

Plus you can go on for as long as you like.
 
Can you unlock all of the tracks for the sim mode run/setting? I think for free run in arcade you just have to have unlocked the tracks in arcade mode?
 
hmmm, to get all courses i did the sharkport way ^_^ and arcade mode for me :D
 
I drift all the time, no matter what I'm doing, but for just regular practice it's Arcade - Free Run.

If i just setup a new car i just go to run and settings because i'm lazy, but usually arcade, more tracks...:D
 
So arcade has all the tracks available to practice on? or they are not unlockable?

i drift in extreme ZAMATAKI mode....its a special mode i created wich actually allows the car to slide at such a high angle, that it looks like im sliding at 90 degrees at the apex.....or maybe its just my skills.......arcade mode for me;)
 
for me its anthing as long as i drift :lol: yea i just want to drift really...but i mostly drift in arcade

I thought arcade mode had slightly different physics than sim mode?
 
Sorry. No.

Just a different mode of play.

If you use sim cars in arcade mode, you will notice that oil usage carries over to simulation mode.
 
Mostly in arcade mode, but I want to race, then I goto sim mode.

Nope, as far as I know anyway. You're probably thinking about 2 Player Mode.
 
I drift in Arcade mode and sim mode.
