What next?!

I have 4 events in B-Spec left and 7 in A-Spec, i have barely touched the specials and TBH, i dont care for them at all, what i really care about and the main reason i bought the game was to RACE. now that i only have a total of 11 events left to do...what the hell is left for me to play for when there are less than half of the events and races that GT4 had? anyone else feel that way, or feel that they have been robbed?

GT4 took me about 5 months to gold everything including licenses, coffee breaks, specials and missions with MUCH more game time than i have been able to spend on GT5 because of the kids and X-mas.
I've had the ps3 for about 3 weeks and i'm nearly done with regards to race events and i cant even touch the enduros because there's no way i can leave my PS3 on for weeks at a time just to do a 24 race :grumpy: i started a 30 lap race last evening and the kids moaned because it took an hour for me to complete...imagine what i'll go through if i take it away from them for weeks at a time!


I dunno about you guys but feeling cheated and robbed of my cash with regards to GT5 over GT4 is exactly how i feel at this point in time, i'm getting more and more pissed with 5 as time goes by, i really thought when GT5 came out i would get GT4 on steroids, not a completely different game and LESS as far as ingame events go..... feel like i've been sucker punched and robbed :crazy::grumpy:
 
What about the seasonal events, drift challenge or time trial challenge..??

Or do these come under the 'special events' you can't be bothered to do..??

Simple answer to your question:

Go Online - that's nothing but racing

Plus, there's plenty of ''...lets have a moan about gt5..'' threads already, maybe you would like to contribute to them..??

not interested in online racing, tried it once and it looked more like destruction derby than racing.

Is there any reason why you are unable to use the ''SEARCH'' facility??

Wait so you tried it once and made your mind up? Give it another go, there are good racers who you will meet. Friend them and then try to organise more races. Also there are plenty of people on this forum who are racing online in GT5.

Online is your answer, give it another chance.
 
Never touched A spec and been playing online since day 1 and never was I bored other than waiting for people to join the server. I have my hands full simply running leagues, testing for them and race in them........

My suggetion to OP: trade the game in for something else if you hated it so much and get some of your money back; just save us from another pointless thread among many in this board.

You seem to have totally missed the point of both GT5 and this forum, see above for your best option.

I know we're across the pond from one another but I would be happy to help jump start your search for clean online racers. I run with a lot of guys who like to race Spec Miata. Everyone is really courteous, some fast, some slow, and everyone is there to have good, clean fun.

Here is the thread that shows what were all about:

You don't have to be in the series to practice with us and it is fun to learn how to tweak the suspension settings, improve your line, and/or increase your skill to get those extra tenths of a second off your lap time. We usually have a practice room open at some point throughout the day and we post the room number so it is easy to find. If the room has enough people the host will typically ask if everyone wants to race. It's the most fun I have had with any part of GT5 and I encourage you to give it a try if you want see where GT5 shines over GT4.

you mentioned that it took you 5 months to gold everything and finish all the specials in GT4, yet have no interest in doing the 'extra' events that PD uploaded. You said you wanted to race but yet don't care for them. So how else can they make you happy? Have you gotten gold in all the events, including license tests and special events!? Once everything is done, why not do your own trials and race against yourself to see if you can up your best time!?

If not...do what I suggest, play another game....I do.
 
Look why moan yes there are problems but its still a great game. if you don't like it play Motorstorm.
