I finally got the PS3 going again today, I had the dreaded YLOD a few months ago. The first thing I did was fire up GT5 and download the new updates. All I can say is wow, they have made some huge improvements, especially adding Aspec races to the seasonal. Keep up the good work PD and I look forward to some more DLC! 👍
 
Yeah, glad to see someone else is positive about the changes we got, instead of mad about the ones we didn't. But anyways, enjoy your GT5 👍
 
Did they change the chase camera? I don't know if it's been a while and I don't remember but it seems different.

Yeah, they did. It's a bit more dynamic. A little odd to get used to but you'll be fine unless you're one of the people who gets motion sickness from it. ~Turtle

How often are these updates done? I'm not online yet but I'm wondering if I'll have to do 3 days of updates off the get-go.
 
A friend of mine played the disc released GT5 ( 1.00 ) on a PS3 that's not online.
And... wow... it's very worse. Just barely playable.
We just didn't see the progression.
Only playing the 1.00 version we can compare.
Thanks to PD, for updating and fixing the game.
There's many things to make better, but overall it's a very good game!

There'll be one along towards the end of this month (2.03); so there's been nothing since 2.02. If you've not updated the game at all, though, there's quite a few to catch up on!

Lol, the exact same thing happened to me! The very first thing I noticed was the change to the chase cam. :lol:

So they did change it, I thought it was from not playing in so long. It will defiantly take some getting used too, but it seems like you're going faster!

I would do it overnight, I have a fast internet connection but the PSN seems to run very slow for me.
