What old premium race cars can give the 2J a run for its money?

I see there are several very expensive old race cars in the premium dealership (Ferrari has one for 20 million, for example).

It seems that no matter what car I enter in the classic races I get blown out by the 2J (unless I'm driving a 2J as well...then I win handily).

Since some of these old race cars are priced at up to 20 million, before I spend that much cash, I'm asking if can of them take on the 2J in handling, stability, acceleration and speed?

Please note that I use the DS3, not a wheel.

Thanks! :)

I used the Challenger RM.
Was very hard, especially because when I did it the gears could not be set 'per gear'...
Used DS3.

But like Toronado said: none of the premiums can touch the 2J, that car is just from another world (especially back in the day...)

Will a "standard" do? I eventually managed to win Cote D'Azure with a Toyota 7, after getting some tips from others.

I mean to be fair I did it in a 60's vette racecar but I don't think it's *meant* to be done with that car. I was just an a$$hole and blocked and banged my way to first.

I tried that method...well, OK it is the method I use in nearly every race...but it failed me in that series with the 'Vette.

I think I won the series with the Jag, which was my prize for winning a later set of races.

I beat it in the XJ13 (fully tuned) with a DS3 for the Dream Race trophy. I got lucky and had the 2J right next to me on the start grid. I think if it's too far ahead on the grid you should quit and try for a better grid, where the 2J is close to your grid position or even behind you.

You can win it with the Jag or the Ferrari. I have done it several times. You can win the Jag in Aspec Indy 500

I managed to nab both races with the Ferrari. I had it fully modded for that race. This was for A-spec mind you. B-spec I just dropped Bob into a 2J and he won easily.

I was very lucky to win that series with the Challenger in A-Spec. The 2J and Toyota 7 were both right up my tail the entire time. There is no way Bob could have done it with the Challenger, but not a problem in the 2J.

Just do what I did and birthday glitch yours...... Oh... sorry ^_^

Seriously... Save yourself the risk and buy a 2J and demolish the competition first try. Amazingly I had an easier time with the Challenger in that race than any of the $20 mil race cars.

That's how I got my 2J. :)

I won the race with that, but wondered if there's any car that I can win the event with the same ease. I ask about premium only because those are always available.

Is there any way to win that 20 million credit Ferrari race car (legitimately free cars are always better :))? I won the Jag a couple days ago.

Do a search. You might find something useful, like this.

Thanks. I'll win the Toyota 7 in B-Spec when I get home and give that a try as well.

I also beat it in A spec with a challenger racing modded. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't impossible. So unless you're level 40 a spec, it may be worth trying it out? I mean... you'll need to earn xp anyway?

In bspec, I was able to do it with a Toyota 7 after numerous attempts.

I suspect that any of those high end premiums, jag, ford, ferrari, would win it easily in A spec. The jag is also very good for bspec I've heard (better than the Toyota 7, due to the crashing glitch).

All of this was done with the DS3.

I did the historic race with the 66 Jag...was pretty easy too. You win that from the indi 500.

Grinding 1000 ticket?

Also... you can't win any of those premiums besides the jag. Any of the 20 millers anyways... (oops sorry... I think that might be wrong)

PS - what jet do you fly?
