I know there are 2 threads about sounds, but they seem more to concentrate on sounds of cars opposed to parts that change the sounds.

Since I always put racing transmissions in all of my cars, if I don't slap an exhaust on it, the transmission is all I hear (which imo, isn't exactly music to my ears).

So I wanted to know what parts besides exhaust actually change the sounds of the cars? I think the Cat does as well, but any other parts?

Semi Race Tail Pipes have a Moderate Noise increase (usually they sound Ok)

Full Race are louder but it's Pot luck if they sound nicer

Both of the above can be uninstalled in your Tuning Options if you don't like them , no refunds though

And for Gods sake Stay well clear of Turbo's on N/A Engines it makes them sound like flipping Vaccum Cleaners :grumpy:👎

Turbo's, engine tuning & exhausts all do. Not sure if anything else does to be honest, if they do, it's subtle.

Oh ok thanks. I know engine upgrade raises redline, which would provide more pitch on the sound.

I just wish you can turn the transmission sound down, back in GT2-3 days, it wasn't that loud and you could actually hear turbos spool.

I like the sound of BOV, but not the turbo itself though...

And the sound of supercharger, its more mechanical that turbo. Combine it with race tranny and race exhaust, you will hear an orchestra :)

Btw, have you heard the electric motor sound on honda HSC?

Only thing I can tell that changes the exhaust note is the Sport, Semi-Racing and Racing exhausts. Turbochargers add the typical turbo spool/BOV sounds.

Unfortunately adding a supercharger doesn't add the traditional whine they produce. :(
