So theres a lot of people on this forum complaining about GT5 and the lack of events, as well as the grinding. Which is perfectly understandable.

The best way to fix this in my eyes is to;

- Take all the events from GT4 that aren't in GT5 (i.e. driving missions, continental events, manufacturer events etc.)

- Make it so that you can sell EVERY car on the game, and that you can win all prize cars as many times as you want as per GT4.

- Bring ALL the tracks from GT4 that aren't in GT5, like midfield raceway (personal favourite).

- Split endurance races between A-Spec and B-Spec (again from GT4).

- Give us a proper online dealership where we can sell our cars to other players, like an ebay for GT5 sort of thing.

- Also on a more controversial note, get rid of gifting cars together? and stick to loaning for single events or championships.

Obviously for all this work they will have to do they will probably want to charge for this as DLC, and I personally wouldn't mind paying £10 or $15 for this if it makes the game more interesting and have a longer life.

Anybody else feel the same way?

Please stay on topic!

Basically you want GT4? You can get it really cheap now 👍

After reading about some PS1 & PS2 titles not being able to played on my slim PS3 I had to keep the 'ole PS2. Now I wish I had never sold my PS1.

I'm all for everything in the OP but the Pandora's box of gifting has already been opened. It's too late to try shut it now. If you think there is backlash now with 1.07, just think for a second what would happen if PD took away gifting all together.

👍 All of that (except the part about gifting cars) sounds good to me... GT4 was much better than GT5 IMHO. But the graphics from GT4 and my PS2 look icky on my HDTV.

Basically you want GT4? <snip>

Yes, that would be great! But it would have to be in high def and for the PS3. Maybe PD should have just spent the last 6 years porting GT4 to the PS3 with updated graphics and a few new cars/tracks instead of selling us an unfinished, botched together, wreck of a video game. They sold us a "Beta" and have been slapping it together by adding things, taking things away, etc... (much like Frankenstein's Monster) for the past few months in an effort to complete it.

We are being used as guinea pigs in some weird gaming experiment so that PD can figure out how they want to complete this game. Such a shame really...:indiff:

the only reason i said about the gifting thing was to do with the whole 'duping scene' but i guess thats like plugging a whole on a ship thats already sunk.

If the game had all GT4 events, the ability to win cars over and over and sell them on and basically was more like GT4, nobody would need to dupe cars and everybody would be happy. PD seem too stupid to realise this.

i think if game developers used some sort of community input into the development of their games this whole theology of them being able to release broken games and just patch it later, would be gone. and it would save them time, money and reputation.

Exactly...👍

The more developers patch a game, the more they're admitting to have made a complete arse of it from the start. GT5 has had 6 patches in three months, an average of one every fortnight to fix mistakes. That alone tells a story.

exactly which makes me wonder why game developers dont implement this community input more universally, i mean sure there are betas and that but i dont think betas go far enough to fix major issues in the games infrastructure.

I think in GT5's case Kazunori Yamauchi is the problem, in his eyes it's his game and always has been. He's been stubbornly attempting to make what he himself has described as the perfect driving game and I just don't think anyone or community can change his vision of what that is. I think that with every subsequent GT game we'll get Kaz's Gran Turismo then a bunch of patches to give the people who play it closer to what they want.

But by offering this as DLC its an option for those people who do want a GT4.5 and to those who want to stick with KY and keep banging their heads against a brick wall then thats their choice. But for the rest of us its making the game much less taxing.

I'm all for the idea, I'd happily pay £10 - £15 for a ton of extra events, decent ones at that, the problem is that after 3 months PD don't seem interested in doing anything like that, they would rather throw those pathetic seasonal events at us (when they can be bothered)

I'd pay for that. Hell I would pay $50 for GT4 in HD with online racing added.

I think it also has a great deal with KY not wanting to admit he was wrong and say that a previous game was better than the most recent one. I guess the man who made one of the best game series in the world ended up killing it for most of the people who play it. Big shame.

I think this installment of GT will go down in history as the one one that promised everything and delivered very little.

It really is a excellent idea. I mean everything returning will be done in the realms of GT5, with new physics, new graphics, newer rules etc. Hardly GT4 HD, more like GT5 with everything GT4 offered and more.
