Since there's no radio fourm, I decided to ask the people of gtp what radio stations are in your area...and what are the most popular. Mine are...

94.3 or 93.9-WCYY-Rock...All-out rock. No such thing as pop or R&B here. My all-time favroite
97.9-WJBQ- A station I absouletly hate. they play pop and what evers "hot" and they repeat their songs like every 2 min.
95.9-WRED-Rap station.
92.1 FNX- this comes 2nd as my top few. because of its poor recption, this is second. good music though.

A few talk stations...96.3 WLOB,560am WGAN, etc.

So, what are yours?

I live near Spokane, WA. Radio stations here suck! There is only one even halfway decent one. :banghead: I just listen to my CDs.

I wish I could move back to Seattle. :(

I don't listen to the radio. But if I have to,

  • 101.7 - New Rock
  • 104.1 - Classic Rock
  • 107.1 - More Classic Rock
  • 107.5 - Reception isn't that great, but a good Alt-Rock station.

100.7 - Classic Rock
101.7 - Rock
103.3 - Oldies
104.1 - Rock
105.7 - Rock
107.3 - Rock

Yep. Check http://yes.net/ to see what is playing on any of those stations. I believe they are all located in Boston.

Thanks to Pako for the neato linkage.

107.3 WAAF
1030am WBZ (Traffic and News)
99.5 WKLB

Various others, but I rarely listen to them.

When I'm not listening to CDs 95.8 Capital FM is on (usually in the car - no CD player, and no-one else in my family likes System Of A Down, Nirvana and the like). I wish there was some sort of rock station that I could get, but it's all pop. At least Capital has a rock show on Saturdays, but it's only 2 hours long and starts at 11pm.

I listen to the nationwide music station Radio 1 sometimes. Also the local music station Forth One.

But in actual fact I only listen to the radio when I'm too lazy to select a CD.

I usually listen to the local college station, 91.3 FM WVUD. A great variety of stuff, and very little repeat (except a few particular DJs). Open format in the early morning, followed by folk, then classical, and more open format in the afternoons. Bluegrass on Saturday mornings and funk on Saturday nights.

Other than that, I occasionally listen to the regional Clear Channel Clones, 99.1 WHFS from Baltimore/DC (which used to be the best commercial station on the Earth, until CC bought it) or Y100.3.

Once in a while I check in with 97.9 WIYY from Baltimore to make sure they're still with their "almost all Ozzie, almost all the time" format.

Good ones?
104.1 - Today FM (All types, mostly modern)
96.1 - The Edge FM (Mostly modern)
96.9 - Nova (Songs which don't get much publicity but are still modern).

94.7 WARW Classic Rock- Used to be called "Arrow-94-7"
101.1 WWDC DC101 "Eliott in the morning" A bit crass, but pretty funny most times, when I'm awaker early enough to hear him. :odd:
106.7 WJFK Don & Mike, The Sports Junkies, Howard Stern" and G. Gordon Liddy. 🤬
107.3 WRQX aka Mix 107.3. 70's and 80's hits. My favorite. :D

I rarely listen to music on the radio.
XFM Londons alternative station.

If I can remember when it's on I occasionally listen to BBC radio 1 rock show.

In the car I listen to talksport.

:D

92.5 - All rock. What my radio's on when I turn it on, which is once in a blue moon.
105.7 - The "hit" music station. Rap, pop, and that overplayed, overused Good Charlotte/Simple Plan stuff.
107.5 - Classic rock. Awesome station, there's very frequent Van Halen songs, and I just love the guitar solos from the classics.
