Is there a list of all the real life events you can simulate online, me and a few friends are about to start racing online and we are thinking that we should have a couple of events a week, one fantasy and one that attempts to mimic a real life event?

There is plenty of real like events that can be simulated online in Gran Turismo. Just Google the real tracks in GT and you see the different series that are being held at each track through out the year.

Good luck with trying to complete a simulated real life event, they are definitely a test of skill and determination. Unless you and your friend are diehard racing fanatics, it can be very difficult and frustrating to keep a full field of drivers in the race for the length of time required to complete these types races. It's really no fun if there are only 1 or 2 cars left racing by the end of the race.

Have a bunch of Miatas driving crazy yet still holding up a Corvette and you are simulating "red group" at your local HPDE.

I've been saying PD should run rooms like this for ages. The tuning you are allowed should ONLY the tuning the real life counterparts are allowed.
You can already do this yourself. Limit car classes, set min weight and max power, and let free setup for the rest of the stuff.

Problem is, if you've tried to run one of these series before, you'll see even having cars in it that should be equal (say Super GT GT500 cars) they are not all "equal" out of the box. They require their own adjusted specs to be equal. And then these adjusted specs have to be checked before qualifying/races to make sure everyone is legal.

Cars are never equal unless they are the same exact car, so...
Please tell me how can you make a Nissan GTR GT500 and a Honda NSX GT500 completely equal... you cant.

Whats this? I wonder what magic formula used to equalise all cars on all tracks... For instance, I think its impossible to make 100% equal an MR and an FR car.
You're taking it too literally. No two cars are ever 100% equal on every track. Some cars will be stronger at some tracks, while the other car will be stronger at a different track. But over the course of a full season, it equals out.

There's really no excuses, it can be done.
