...is when people call off GT5 and complain that it's 100% rubbish (in comparison to Forza).
Looking on YouTube and being hyped for Forza 4, all I see in the comments is "OMG GT5 suxs!" "gt5 is going down!" "gt5 is still cool (followed by 20 people ranting on the guy)". It just makes me want to hunt them down and slap them ****less. Also, the Forza community seems worse than the GT community! Just look at the Forza forums and post after post you'll see "just wow, the other game is gunna suck it!" "lol gt5's cockpits look like ****!" and so on.
Both games are superb. I enjoy free running around the TGTT in GT5 and playing tag in Forza 3. Both have their flaws. GT5 has 800 standard cars whine Forza 3 has (in my opinion) terrible handling and out-of-place graphics (car just stands out too much/car looks odd in the environment).
It just pisses me off that people don't realize GT is on the PS3, and Forza is on the 360. They are respectable racing games for their systems and, in my opinion, shouldn't be compared to each other (unless you're buying a new console and want to decide between the top racing game(s)--even then, just get both if you have the money).
Why can we not get along is my question. Sure, GT5 didn't live up to it's hype, but PD keeps updating and adding more, and the game just gets better. It also seems that fellow GTPlanet-eers are FAR more friendly when it comes to talking about Forza and GT, it's like the Forza community is a growling muscle car with no love and the GT community is like a well tamed supercar.
Forza 4 looks amazing (heck, a bit better in some areas than GT5), but I will still love both series. Thank you PD, thank you T10!
