Interested to know what settings you guys have for FM4, I personally am finding the wheel super sensitive around the center and am struggling to find a setting i'm comfortable with.
Sorry just edited my post as you were replying, the steering axis deadzone was already at 100.
After using the 900 degree work around I had the wheel sensitivity set to 270, using this work around that everyone is using because of the wheel bug seems to make the wheel very un-responsive, I spoke to a friend about this issue and he told me to turn the deadzone down to 70 which I did. This only seems to make things worse and the wheel feels super sensitive, an example would be having to only turn the wheel 10 degrees on fairly tight turns.
If I don't use the 900 degree bug work around the wheel is already super sensitive, I can't seem to win.
I have tried the wheel on other games including GT5 and it is flawless, works perfectly. I am just having issues on FM4 that's why I am hoping someone has some in game settings to help me out
If you increase the linearity setting on the wheel, it will tone down the sensitivity around the center and the more you turn the wheel the more sensitive it will become. My setup seems to work perfectly for my taste, if you want to try it out yourself here it is:
Personally I prefer no deadzone, because it seems less realistic to me to have to turn the wheel more than an inch in either direction to make the slightest adjustment in direction. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the reply guys I will be sure to give some of your settings a go:tup:
It wasn't really these settings I was after though, I was after what settings you guys are using in the advanced tuning options in the game. It's my first time using a Fanatec product and I am having problems with the steering on this game, if I use the work around the steering doesn't feel very responsive. I have been using around 270 degrees and finding myself having to really work the wheel for cornering. On the other hand if I don't use the work around it's super sensitive where basically I hardly have to input any steering at all.
I loaded up FM3 today just to make sure I wasn't loosing my marbles lol, without changing any settings on the wheel the game felt perfect, even the elite pedals seemed more responsive on FM3. Also tried the wheel on GT5 and it is perfect on there, I just don't understand why it feels so bad on FM4.
These are the reasons I was hoping there were some settings in the advanced menu that might need adjusting, any ideas guys?
