So, a couple of you guys are familiar with my search for an NB Miata right now, but I just thought I'd throw this out there and see if everyone could help me come up with some other ideas :)

So, some back story - I currently own a 2008 Scion TC and a 1991 Mr2 (NA). The TC is my daily driver as of right now but I am in the process of selling it. The mr2 is my baby :) I bought it for $600 and have been working on it for about 6 months now. It is CLOSE to being alive, but not quite there yet ;)

(don't worry I've removed those god awful air intakes)

So here comes the actual question -
I will have about $7000 to spend after selling my TC (and paying for school, etc). I would like a well sorted car preferably 95 or newer (could definitely be older if it was the right car, just worried about reliability) that is a fun car to drive and easy on the eyes.
I've had a very....interesting...car history and have waaay too much experience buying used vehicles but wanna know what you guys would do.

I'm open to just about anything, but just a word of warning - I don't like hondas :scared:

Share your thoughts please :) And if you have any questions that you think will help me narrow down my search, FIRE AWAY :sly:

Oh, MR2. I like.

Coming from a background of Toyota, the M3 I have isn't quite as idiot proof (small things will need to be worked on) but in terms of a fun, relatively low key, comfortable daily, it wins. Easily. Over everything I've driven any distance from Japan land. Mine cost me $6400, and it was a good deal over all (prices seem to be going up again) but if you can find one that is in good shape in your budget, I'd strongly recommend.

The m3 does seem to be right at the top of my budget, it keeps popping up :) I'd love to have one, just want to make sure I get one that hasn't been fussed with too much. Those things aren't cheap to fix :scared:

My Mr2 thanks you :sly: Got big plans for it so every spare cent I have will be going into it :)
