Pretty much like the "What Phone Do You Have" Thread here, you just post about what Tablet you have whether its recent or you've had it for a while.

To start, I just got mine yesterday: The Impression 10.

Not a big name one like Samsung or something, but it was nicely priced and had what I wanted. Been playing around with it ever since this morning. Other then one game refusing to open (That Pit Crew Combine game in particular), no real issues.

Anyhow, post away

The last pre-Lighting iPad, whichever one that was. My wife likes her iPhone and wanted the same OS. That limits one quite a bit.

At work I'm pushing for a couple of Nexus 10's. Been waiting for a few weeks but heard nothing yet. Might be time to inquire again.

I have the 1st gen iPad in 32GB form that I don't use much anymore. I also borrowed a Surface RT tablet from work for a couple of weeks and I've been messing with that for a little bit.

The 2nd generation Kindle Fire. Had it since launch in 2012 and is the best tablet money could buy.

Yeah, "Emma"

When I was looking for a tablet, the 3 contenders were Kindle Fire, Nexus 7 and Galaxy Tab. They are all pretty much of a muchness, but I chose the Galaxy primarily because it wasn't "tied" to someone, (Amazon and Google for the other 2) and it had a slot for a Micro SD card which the other 2 lack.

I haven't got a table, because, well... I don't need one, after I got my smartphone. - My computer runs Windows 8, though, if that counts?

Couple years old now, still a great tablet. Works very smoothly
Me too, except that mine is a little under a year old. Big fan of the wedge shape. Presence of an SD card slot is also handy.

First weekend for my Tablet in action:

I'm a bit confused about your concern for the Nexus 7 being tied to Google, as they all run Android so they are all tied to Google at some point or another. If anything, the 7 is going to have the cleanest version of Android with the fastest updates since Samsung has to tweak Android for their devices and user experience.

The Fire is fairly straight forward to root and unlock and thus free from Amazon, but I can understand not wanting to deal with that.

As for myself, I have this ancient thing

An HP TouchPad from the fire sale after HP dropped WebOS, so I paid all of $100 for it. At the moment, I have it running Android 4.2.2 and it works, but I don't find myself carrying it around as much now that I have my LG Optimus G.

I have a TF101 Transformer that's been going strong for me since launch. XDA devs have been great-- running Android Revolution on it really brought it new life. Didn't like it much on Honeycomb but I've been using the crap out of it since ICS came out.

The speakers just started to go a little bit, so I'll probably get a new one when the Snapdragon 800 becomes available. Might even go for something Haswell based. We'll see.

I have a Galaxy Tab II and it's super crappy. It works but it's so slow. Makes me want to bang my head on the wall. I dont have any budget for anything else tho so I use it quite a lot.

Go check out XDA developers on some alternate Android versions for your device. I've found a "clean" install of Android free of extras from manufacturers can have dramatic results on the performance of a device.

I have this touchpad on android too, shame it doesn't work with all apps.

I wish it worked with torque and my ELM327.
