Ok.....I'm playin in the Amature GT Allstars race(or it may be the GT World race, I can't remember. It's teh one that gives ya a Ford GT40 road car as a prize) tryin to get better cars and I noticed something funny about my F1 car.

My F1 car is the green one, that says 'Elf' on it. Well when I got it it had 914BHP. Now for same strange reason it has 802HP. I've changed oil twice, but I did that right befor I started the race.


What's goin on? Why's my car loosin HP?
 
wear... the cars wear out with time... you lose power.
 
Also, if you go too long between oil changes then the car loses some power permanently. Since you can't change your oil during a series race, you can almost expect it to finish the series with less HP than it started. I think your car's power is just levelling out now, so I doubt it'll lose much more if you keep remembering to change the oil.

Incidentally, I wouldn't advise waiting for the oil light to click on before changing it, it's a little too easy to ignore that little light. Ever since I started playing (last week - yes, I am a latecomer to GT3, thank you) I've tried to make it a habit to change it every 60 miles during non-series racing. And if you're far enough along to have an F1 car, then the cost of an oil change every 75-100 miles or so should be pocket change.

Just my opinion, anyway. :)

:lol: Mine has over 15,000 miles on the clock and I got 813 bhp (went down from 829 bhp).

This is on the PAL version which has the Polyphony 001 Rather than 'F0' cars in :USA: edition (to save ya all confusion :confused: )

Why do they change the F1 cars in PAL and US versions? :mad:
 
If there's an unexplained question like this, the reason is probably money. And if the reason is money, the issue is probably manufacturer's licensing.
 
I change the oil after every session and wash it too.
Ive never had the oil light come on and none of my cars seems to have lost power.
Even my Vitz has maintaind the 300+ hp and has the highest mileage of all the cars I own.
Just change the oil after every session and youll be good to not lose power. Its a cheap preventative maintenance, just like in real life. ;)
