Ok, situation is, I was looking on Trademe (similar to eBay, but for us Kiwis) and two sales caught my eye. This - A DFGT, and That - A Pro.

The Basic is 10USD and the Pro is about 63USD.
And before you post quickly about saying GET THE PRO IS REALLY CHEAP!!!!!!!11one!! I can not really get anything over 20USD :(.

Thanks for you're advice in advance (, alliteration).

Go for the DFP.

You've got 900° and you can switch to 200° if desired …
overall you'll be faster, because it is more precise.

You will probably encounter pedal problems with bot of them sooner or later, but they can be fixed. And whenever you win the lottery there's always a way to buy some of those ultra refined pedal products and connect them to your DFP. :D

What's a bit weird is that the seller seems to have sawed of a piece of the pedal housing of the DFP, dunno why. But my guess is that shouldn't affect the performance.

P.S.: I own both of these wheels, so I know what I'm talking about.

I bought my pro in 06, all I can say is brilliant, it lasted up untill just a few months ago, it was a sad day,

its ruggered, it will take hits, it will survive drunken racing. sure its not the best, but its no where near the worst.

it is a solid buy.

Grab the DFGT, I own the Driving Force Ex (similar to the second option you have) and I would like the choice of 900 degrees plus the stick shift. It is a great wheel (I have used it) and to be honest, it really doesnt cost that much.

The first ad is for the Driving Force, not the Driving Force GT. It looks like quite an old wheel to me.The DFGT is quite different from that and is an upgrade to the DFP. I'd go for the second option of the DFP if that's what your budget allows.

If you can't spend over 20$ then you only have one option.

By the way, I've just opened my DFP housing to fix a wobbling potentiometer and (for the first time I think) opened the little box you see on the pic.

Guess what it contains? A block of metal.

So that's what the seller of your wheel has sawed off. Guess you won't need that weight if you attach the pedals to a rig somehow.
