What to do after Japanese GT4 comes out?

I have a very interesting (or so I think) question for you GT Planetiers :sly:

Let's say GT4 comes out in December, right?? Let's presume you live outside Japan and you understand only important numbers from that language ( 85 86 32 33 34 ).....So, what do you intend to do untill the PAL or US NTCS comes out??

For me, i don't like to spoil the surprise, so i'll just wait for the PAL, but the tentations are high, like ordering a Japanese version or downloading it illegally, i hope i'm tough enough to resist a couple more months :crazy: :indiff:

Oh, and another thing......i won't be visiting GTPlanet between Japanese and PAL releases, just mo be sure :scared:

So, what do you plan on doing and not doing??
 
I'll be ordering the Chinese version which afaik will also contain English. :D

We will buy the chinese/english language version to be released alongside the japanese version the 3rd of december.
 
I don't care anymore...

I've seriously lost the care for GT4 since it got delayed again... I'll buy it and I'll like it... but I don't care about it anymore.

A certain amount I agree with Yeti. Initially I wasn't too excited about it - but GT3 was still fairly fresh for me. Then I got really excited and wanted to get my hands on it right away. And now I'm back to not caring so much anymore. The hype played out and I've moved on to other things. I don't think I'll even grab it on initial release.
 
Oh....does the Chineese contain only SOME or ALL English btw ?? I mean what do you think ?

The 3 months after the Japan release will mean agony for me. To see all those people going "WOW" about the load of cars and tracks, physics, tuning options....

Sadly, i'm with you :indiff: :guilty: Just dont't want to spoil the longest wait for a game in my life. Well....you can imagine the rest 👍

Well I think it's closer to a couple weeks than a couple days. But there's not much of a wait from when the Japanese version hits and the US version hits.
 
Well I'll probably dissapear on GTP again until I get hold of a copy. Depends if I can obtain a Chinese (if its got English) or a US (Presuming it comes out pre-Xmas) version before the PAL release in regards to how long I'll 'vanish'.

Visting GTP after this long wait & having the suprises spoilt in the space of a few days ain't worth it. Despite how tempting it may be.
 
it was 14th dec in japan i think(cuz i saw it on the official site and on some traielrs)
....but this date can vary....(hope it comes earlier!)
 
Sit and wait for all the fantastic media,from all the lucky bastds that will have it 3 months before me :yuck:
 
Won't change anything for me.. I've known for months that the Japanese version would come out first. No different than any other game. I'll read all I can about the final features of the complete game, and simply wait for it to make its way to our shores. :)

Gee, I guess so. However I only use that at GTPlanet, where I believe it still takes precadence. GT4 means more to my GTPlanet time than anything else. I'd rather be here talking about Gran Turismo than stupid polical issues.

what in the world do you mean "spoil"? it's not like this game has a story.
 
If Polyphony doesn't go all lame on our asses and delay the U/C release, I'll wait the two weeks for the domestic version, and work on scholarhip essays & stuff while I impatiently wait for the game to come out.

If it is delayed, I'm importing any way I can.

Yeah, but you know this happened to me with Prologue, i know roughly all cars by heart and ALL tracks by heart (except Grand Canyon that is :) ) BEFORE i got it.....So I only had to discover the incredible physics and that's bout it..... Everything else i knew before from GT4P videos :dunce:

I hope I won't make the same mistake twice.....

Let's have an example: Your favorite car is the M3 E30, right?? You can ONLY think of this car, you dream it, you go WOW when it goes by. Then you see it in a car list. You say OK nice it's in.......but i think it's more interesting to go to the BMW dealer and see it among other things.....i can't tell you but the experience is incredible 👍 👍

PS: You can put for a M3 E30 your favorite un-confirmed car, see what that would feel like :)

i mean if soneone gets the Japanese/chinese version first then when their regions copy comes out, will there memory card save work with it?

Who has the self control to look away…after the wait for PAL GT3 I purchased a Japanese PS2 to ensure that I experienced the surprises of GT4 first hand.

Absolutely not. For example NTSC/J Prologue saves or replay files will not work with the Chinese language version of the same game. (despite both versions being able to be played legitimately on the same PS2) It is the same story for GT Concept and GT3 game saves.

Edit:when I receive GT4 in early dec I will be giving away my BMW demo to a deserving GT-Planet member.

Enjoy reading about all the new cars and tracks and modes GT4 will have, I will learn about all the new tracks so that I have an advantage when I start playing GT4 in Feb.
 
:grumpyYou hope mate.you hope!! I wouldn,t be suprised if we see GT4 alot later than Feb. Its seeming to be sooo old now....and no ones played it yet. Matter of fact I think I'll change my sig again.

This thread is about opinions and what we'll do in between NTSC:J and PAL releases... I've stated my opinion on the subject... and you, for some bizarre reason, have decided to post your opinion on me.

Quite why you think I'm an idiot I'm unsure about as I am quite confident that I am far more intelligent than you.

I'm just gonna leave it at that and ignore you from now on.
