What to do for two weeks!

I got the last seasonal update Thursday 8th October. Sadly the promised more events per update are still missing in action. Worse still after waiting two weeks, the arena race was over in less than 36 seconds.

So I looked around for something to do. I tried a shifter Kart on the Circuito de la Sierra.

Just slightly insane!! You're flat out pretty much the whole way round and while the jumps are manageable, every time you go on or off a bridge, the kart is launched into the air. Really tough to keep it stable but lots of fun. (I did find a way to keep it on the ground).

Then I tried Senna's F3 car on the same track and this was serious fun. Again lots of long full throttle stuff even through the twisty bits. Put a set of soft racing tires on it and it sticks like glue. Very enjoyable since you can go flat out and still enjoy the scenery.

P.S. tried both on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Not quite as much fun since it's more bumpy that Circuito de la Sierra.
 
Try doing the GT3 seasonal maybe? I've been doing that one every day for the last week and having great fun with it. Though I do agree that if the seasonals aren't to your liking, then it can be boring waiting longer. Perhaps join a group or team etc on this site? I belong to the WRS and we do weekly time trials (as well as weekly races though I don't do the races), predominantly with stock cars (all sorts of cars from LMP1s down to old 60s cars) and no tuning and, usually, stock tyres as well....it's another good way to keep yourself entertained and see how you stack up against faster drivers
 
I've been going back and doing some of the career events again. They certainly seem a lot easier now that I have much more driving and tuning experience than when I started.

Having the bigger selection of cars that I've accumulated is good too, and having the credits to buy them. That said, there's something slightly cruel about entering the National A Festival Italia series in a Ferrari 250GTO, or the National B Classic Sportscar Series in a GT40!

Once I got bored of thrashing my opponents, I started entering events in cars that are well below the PP limit, and trying to win them. It's been a lot of fun, and you get to use all the other tracks that never seem to make it to the Seasonals.
 
Go play Mario karts, serious fun. There is only so many times you can re do career events and not be bored. Games gone down the gurgler, over it.
 
For anyone looking for something to do for two weeks, testing for the current FITT event might be fun. It is in the tuning forum and there are a lot of great tunes submitted to make it varied. :)
 
Comunity/club events, improving TT times, and a personal suggestion - S Class events are always fun, trying different cars, stock + zero assist runs... eg. rain masters is always intense.

I miss GT6, i really do. My PS3 is YLODing on me so i moved on to PS4... waiting on my new wheel and will try PCars, but i already know it will be NOTHING like GT6, even with all it's flaws...

Anyways, i miss having that problem :guilty:

For me, the intermediate seasonal is where its at. Beginner is too damn easy and the Expert really sometimes targets the 1% who are truly the GT6 pro.

Last month it was a dead zone as I cant stand Madrid but you occasionally get good months where the intermediate and experts are accessible to people like me who consider themselves 'above avg'. but not prodigys.

I'm also finding the issue that I am coming to 50 million with nothing else to buy. I have all the 20 million cars and dont have much to sink my money into. And 700,000 a pop seasonals add up.
 
All I know is the with the latest TT and Drift trials not expiring until 12/30 I've got plenty of time to complete them and do other things like create more tracks, run some club time trials, and test drive and compare car contemporaries.

Plenty to do.
 
Playing A-spec races is more pleasurable than ever, 'cuz you have LOTS of time to participate again and again learning the tricks of your car, of the track, trying to make money and spend it for high-cost cars. Man, I'm actually a car collector. But thanks to the game, I can't have more than 500 cars in the garage. Actually... I do! But, you know that you can't switch the car if it placed to the Storage. And this is the one of my own reasons why I hate this game :)

Here's what I've liked to do lately (well, in addition to just doing this instead of playing GT6 :) )...

Arcade Mode. Use a random number generator to pick the track and the car you have to drive. (Cars in your garage are numbered, so that makes it easy. For the track, I just use the RNG to pick which type of course, then which page, then which track on the page.) The AI are stupid and drive terribly, but if you only give yourself a small number of laps, like the default of 3, it's reasonably challenging.

For non-racecars, I do the race with the car stock.

Do we get the prize money by doing Seasonal Races again and again like we could do on GT5?
