What tools are used to make Gt4 and what tools were used to make GT3?

I am interested in what tools (programs) were used to design the cars and the tracks. Does anyone here know?

I want to become an automotive designer and the autostudio looks like it could be a pretty useful tool.

Maya is avabile for the public if you pay, students get very big rebates on it.
I will be starting to self learn Maya 5 with the movies and a book to do some self learning

Ah Alias/Wavefront Studio Tools/Auto Studio is a major hit among car makes. The software alows you to place your virtual car into a real scene. I've seen the videos on Alisa/wavefronts webpage, but you must become a member to see them.

Wow, very interesting stuff. Check out this video from their website about how they created GT3 with Maya. What an incredible job!
