Hi peeps i'm a newby from England and i've just found out about the GT Academt TT and have done a few laps the best being a 1'37.735 tuned and 1'49.943 normal 3'27.678 overall but i am just wondering what view everyone prefers?? i have the one with the whole car in the screen?? is this ok or will i get better times on a different setting??

Any advice/thoughts is much appreciated...thanks:):)

Oooh dear horrible chase-cam.

I imagine most people here either use bumper or cockpit. If you got used to it I would have thought you'd go faster using one of these views.

Personally I use the cockpit view.

It's bumper cam for me. I'd probably be faster using need for speed view. Sorry, chase cam. But that is unrealistic and also feels like cheating.

In previous games I always used the bumper view much to the dismay of all my friends when we played, but this time around the new cockpit view is my choice.

Bumper cam, but I understand a number of fasties are annoyed the roof cam has been omitted for the demo.

All the best
Maz

looks like i'm the only one then...lol:dopey::dopey:

I'll try the bumper cam and see how i get on,i've always used the chase cam as i use to play sega rally alot in the arcades about 15 yrs ago...lol:):)

Bumperige here, outside is for kiddies, like Mr P;)

I'd call the bumper outside the car....

I use cockpit when racing others (for better feel of where the car is) and bumper when I TT.

I'd rather cockpit if I could only use one though.

👍

Well i've tried the bumper cam and i hate it,obviously i'd get better if i stuck at it but i'm nowhere near my current times:nervous::nervous:

i have got moose's ghost car on the normal car and can stick with him upto the S bend but then he leaves me so i aint doing to bad on chase cam:) just need to keep at it as i don't play that often and my times are getting better each time i play so all good:):)

bumper cam.. used hood cam for prologue and felt too constricted with cockpit so I stuck with bumper for this

I use Cockpit ... used to play in roofcam but... it's not in the gameplay for what ever... but in the replay ... weird.

I wonder always why all people call it the "bumpercam". The cam isn't on the bumper. It's on the windshield and the hood of the car is made invisible.

i use 'bumper cam'. i'd like to use cockpit cam, but the view is too restrictive in GT. NFS-S implements the cockpit view nicely, and feels very natural. The a-pillars in GT don't allow you to see through the corners properly. A little tweaking is all that is needed. Perhaps a slightly wider field of view, or better, make the field of view adjustable.

Bumper cam is what real men use.

Aye, in the same way only real men wear pink scarves and gloves ;)

I use both Cockpit view and Chase view, i'm just as fast (or slow from the other point of view) with both. My fastest lap in the tuned car was set on chase cam and my stock car time was set in cockpit view.

Was bumper since GT2, now using cockpit view. I'm probably more precise (and thus faster) with bumper view but cockpit view just seems more the way to go now in 2010. Times change.

So I only one here who uses behind car view :dopey: never took the time to get used to something else (Using it since GT1)
Maybe it is because I use DS3. If I would get a wheel I will consider changing view.

Started out using chase cam in GT1, but after GT3 switched to always using bumpercam. Find it much faster and more precise.

I'd love to use cockpit view, but the mismatched hand animations and difficulty of seeing the tacho etc irritate me so much.
