So far about 10 hours max, running a B spec while at work. I'm curious about this too as my remaining B-Spec Endurances are 24 Hrs. It's the new style 160GB.

launch day model the Fat 60GB.

play nearly every day on it.
Replaced the 60GB drive for a 320GB
didnt let me down once.

Longest it had been on in one go is several days.

I've ran my 60GB Fat PS3 model(but has a 320GB HDD) for two days at the most while running GT4 B-Spec Races in the past. It's still running fine after all of these years.

2nd Gen. 60GB fatty. Never more than a few hours, was afraid I'd kill it. This past weekend after roughly 4 years of use, it stopped reading Blu-Ray discs. Upgrading to a Slim this week.

Poll didn't fully load all the options before I voted bit I've left mine on for about 3 days once because I forgot to turn it off

Original launch EU 60Gb, several weeks running back to back 24hr races in A and B Spec.

My launch 60GB was once left on for a week, thankfully idling on the XMB the entire time due to an accidental switch-on before going away, my 120GB slim has only been left on for three days in a row (to my knowledge), grinding B-spec mode. I found it would usually crash after four days.

Several weeks, back in march-april 2011...

During the 24hr endurance races in A-spec.

But I have a newer 250GB PS3 and it was put in a spot next to the window for most of the time, so it was kinda cooled down all the time. ;)

My first CECHA was left on... for quite a while. I think I left it on nearly all winter in 2010. Just opened the window to keep everything cool.

Probably a little over 24 hours running B-Spec Endurance races. Never liked leaving it on for longer than that. It's a 120GB slim model.

160GB slim PS3. I've left it on for a day or two downloading a fairly large game. My download speed back then was horrendous...

Several weeks, going into months. 60GB launch that I still have, still runs. The thing is a tank.

I've run it for well over a month straight, multiple times. Just ask anyone on my friend list.
I have both a fat 80gb and a slim that I mainly use now.

Nothing wrong with keeping them on for long amounts of time besides the power bill. It's actually worse to leave it on for periods of intense play only to turn it off as soon as you're done playing. Not allowing your hardware to cool down sufficiently is what causes small cracks in the chipset over time. So advice to those who don't like leaving their systems on: after you're done playing, or watching Netflix for a while, allow the PS3 to idle either on the home XMB screen or just the game or Netflix menu for about 15 minutes before turning it off for the day.

Thanks for that tip wardez, surprised You guys keep it on for that long ,never tried more than 12 hours actually

1st gen Slim, 120 GB model, the longest was about 3 weeks non stop, left idle when I went to sleep, then streaming HD movies, music, downloading demos, play games ( heavy ones like Heavy Rain, GTA IV, MGS4, GT5, Uncharted series, etc ) never had the fan goes higher than when after boot idling. Run without top cover, replaced thermal paste, runs cool 24/7, very quiet ( silent really ), no dust, cleaned every 2 weeks.

First Gen 60GB still in pristine condition, never carelessly handled, it's been to Europe and back and I don't remember leaving it running for more than a day... my PC however is never off. I'm happy I'm not a YLOD statistic..yet... such a beautiful machine. Trying to find two more mint fist gen's to set up triple monitor.

Can just upgrade the bd drive. the slim is a downgrade

24 hours for the 24 hour B spec race in GT5. It actually killed my PS3. Since my warranty was expired I had to buy a new PS3. And new warranty. Optical audio went out and it would no longer read disks.

This exactly. 👍

Fatty FTW, mine usually stays on all the time. Sometimes I turn it off when I go out of town, but most of the time I don't.

I think it was 9 hours for the B-spec 9 hours of Tsukuba.
Don't like to leave it on for a long time. I now the thing can handle it just fine but I just doesn't feel good to me :)

Can we start a contest?

GTP vs. Electricity

Turn your PS3 on at midnight new years, and we'll see who can keep theirs on the longest. :dopey:
