I was reading through the forums this morning and I had an interesting thought (doesn't happen too often :dopey:).

The track logos which were discovered on the GT website for all the old GT tracks still haven't got a purpose. I can't see them being used for GT6, but it did make me think...

What if one of the download bundles we are going to get in the near future is the whole of GT4 but in GT5's engine?

We already have the cars... we are just missing the tracks and A-Spec events. This wouldn't take PD long to do at all and fits in with their Gran Turismo Vision concept.

It can't be just Spa and a Kart track that we are receiving as DLC. What do you think? Is this likely to happen?

Congratulations on your interesting thought, I'm still waiting on mine ...;)

I can imagine having an 'Old GT Tracks' DLC in the future for sure.
As Spa being brand new, I personally believe it to be the only new track for the moment (Development-time-wise).

Maybe around the holidays? Would make sence commercially. (wishful thinking!)

We can only hope.

As Spa took 1 year to be available and we got just 15 cars in the DLC, your believe, that it can´t take long to convert all classic tracks to GT5 is just hilarious.

I think, you should stop creating rumors like 20 other guys did before. Just wait and drink tea.

Hey, its possible... they may be in progress as we type. It's not really trying to create rumours, just pre-empt PD's choices. I was on the money with Spec II - it was obvious it was coming and I called it months before its release.

I just think that a retro track pack with A-Spec events from GT4 is very likely to happen.

while they would need to make old tracks in HD, which shouldnt be a big problem for PD, but can you imagine how much rant would that cause if tracks arent as pretty as the ones in GT5 ?

I somehow believe they already got most tracks from previous GT's modelled for GT5's engine, but will we receive those as DLC stays a mystery until we know better.

Let's keep thumbs up anyway 👍

Yeah, I'm leaning on the side that just maybe we will get them :)

Isn't the Monaco stage a standard track that was "HD"-ed? The water sure looks like it.

They had a clear point: speculation :p

DLC is now big money income for PD. So I'm 99.6% sure we'll be getting all GT4 classic tracks and some real world tracks in the future. But when, you never know with PD...

I've learnt something while visiting these forums and playing Gran Turismo 5 and that is that if you anticipate that PD is going to do something; it won't happen. If you don't then it will happen. We never anticipated Spa, look what we got. We anticipated a Lamborghini Aventador, we get four more GTR's.

I can see it in the near future... maybe Christmas DLC?

Maybe Classic Track Packs 1-4 featuring tacks which were new in GT 1-4 and are still missing? I can't remember which tracks ar missing from which games and if this kind of bundle would work.

Lets all hope so, I really like to have again Red Rock Valley Speedway and Complex String.

I was hoping we would get some of the old tracks in the update or the dlc but it's all good. I'm looking forward to Spa and the dlc goodies. I'm hoping we might get some of the old tracks in futue updates though.

I hope so, let's use the feedback section, seems like it's easier for PD notice what we want. You know on the forum there are too many threads, too many discussions, flames, it's very dispersive. Anyway in case any PD developers are watiching this page,

WE DO WANT MORE TRACKS PLEASE

LoL 👍

Nobody knows what plans PD has for GT5 DLC. They probably made plans (it is a corporation, so there must be an agenda with deadlines, plans etc.) but we don't know what these plans are.

Although I find it is pointless to think about what PD must be thinking about, it is nice to speculate about what would be awesome to have. Personally, I'm happy with spa, the karttrack and the new cars. I would really cry if Midfield would make it's return. But I don't get my hopes up, because "it is useless to think about something that could be, but is totally out of your control".

ps. If the last sentence made you want to write that SpecII and DLC is because of our ideas on this forum than your wrong. It's not. It is a business as any other. They make the plans, they decide on how and what.

PD telling us, the tracks and DLC is because of the feedback is just marketing. Try to keep that in mind.

I'm pretty sure PD's plans for DLC hinge on the reaction to the upcoming DLC. The game is a year old soon and although they have detailed databases on basically everything we've done in the game so they know how many people still play, this DLC is testing our reaction to their pricing and packaging, as well as a test to see how many people value GT5 enough to extend it with DLC. It would be pretty brave for PD to have already committed resources to make future DLC before the first pack has even arrived, which could prove to be a flop...

Therefore, my opinion of this is that PD's plans can go either way, either they'll release more DLC or this will be the only DLC we get, or maybe the first of two waves. Frankly I want more DLC and PD have been good to us (yes, really, compared to other developers at least) so I'm happy to support them, so I'm buying the DLC. Well there's that and I've always wanted Spa in a GT game and the touring cars will probably be fun, like the old Gran Turismo LM Race Cars, so whatever.

It's all exciting stuff. Why should PD stop at providing just GT4's tracks and events? Why not also include all the previous GT games to date? It would certainly be a better than the inevitable HD remastered version of GT4 being sold on PSN.

Thought this thread deserved a bump since I couldn't find the one with all the information in, Could it be said speculation in the OP is now coming good what with the release of one of said tracks ?.

God willing. I desperately want Seattle back. Time will tell.

Haha well the reason for the bump was to get people talking about it maybe since one of the the track logos found turned out to be DLC so it doesn't take a stretch to imagine, Even if the old tracks should have been in from the beginning.

I wish it would happen, but after buying all the download content I have given up hope , like all the missing cars from the previous games and missing tracks, misssing engine upgrade's. Missing break upgrades. Missing wheel upgrades, missing manufacturer events,

Their is a **** load missing but not much added. I wouldn't hold out with hopes and dreams. 6 year wait just for GT5
