I chose other. My idea is to have customisable A-Spec events. I will explain.
The thing i find with A-Spec is that it is a bit easy, and the rewards are not the best. Also, grinding, its just no fun. I have tried fine tuning cars so that they are roughly competitive with the AI cars so that i at least get a half decent challenge, but I still seem to be able to win. The system i would like to see would rewards drivers who chose to run with fewer to no assists, longer races and less competitive cars(based on the PP system). Say, a race is 5 laps long, you run with all assists on with a car that will smoke the field, you would get 50,000cr for the win. Now, if you increase the race distance, to lets say 10 laps, you times the original win figure by 1.2, so you would win 60,000cr. This would go up to say 4x the race distance, or a maximum of 50 laps/200 miles.
Following me?
Then you get an even bigger reward for running with no assists. So you have a 50,000cr reward for a win, you take off TC & Skid control, this number is multiplied by 2, so you would win 100,000cr.
With this system you could reward clean driving(points deducted for bumps, scrapes, cutting corners, causing others to spin out etc), good starts, anything that you would credit a real racing driver with. This system should also me mirrored with the XP system, which i think is the main reason why people grind.
All of the numbers would have to be subjected and fine tuned under play testing, but i dont think it would be hard to come up with a fair system to reward good drivers. It would also encourage the player to try to learn how to drive without assists and be a clean driver. No doubt it would annoy some players who like to race as if they are in demolition derby (anybody remember that from PS1?), but would be good for the players who make the effort to race "properly"
Thats what i would like to see anyway

as well as more tracks and more events
